Software Colombia Creates a Powerful Identity Verification Solution Using AWS

In the modern business environment, identity management has become a vital concern for enterprises that conduct digital transactions. With the proliferation of online platforms and the need to safeguard sensitive data from malicious actors, companies require robust solutions to manage user identity securely. Software Colombia needed an efficient, accurate, and robust biometric facial recognition solution capable of verifying user identity by using advanced algorithms to analyze facial features and match them against existing records. The solution would be used for the processes of issuing X509 digital certificates and to secure the signature of documents online, as well as to protect other important web transactions. Such a solution will help Software Colombia and its customers reduce the cost and risk of fraud on business-critical processes.

Software Colombia's new solution is called eLogic Biometrics and is designed and prototyped with the AWS envision engineering team, capable of mitigating the identity spoofing attacks and risk by 95 percent through a biometric face recognition and authentication mechanism regardless of whether the user is providing the image through a phone or another camera. Aditionally, the identity verification, authentication, and the overall onboarding process of new customers was reduced by 92 percent, enhancing the user experience in the authentication process and enabling more secure electronic communication channels that organizations can use to distribute products and services. eLogic Biometrics was developed with a serverless architecture, using AWS services such as Amazon Cognito, Amazon SQS, and Amazon Textract for document processing. Software Colombia deploys the solution with Amazon Amplify, which supports the new Amazon Rekognition Face Liveness API.
