Overview

The BIO Thema-uitwerking Clouddiensten (Theme-elaboration Cloud services) is an information security framework prescribing controls that Dutch public sector entities are advised to impose on their cloud service providers. Although highly recommended, the BIO Thema-uitwerking Clouddiensten is not legally mandated. Despite that, AWS wants to pro-actively address this framework to support our customers.

Therefore, AWS conducted a self-assessment against all the controls listed in the BIO Thema-uitwerking Clouddiensten. The self-assessment is verified by an independent third-party auditor. Consequently, by reaching a sufficient level of compliance, AWS has been awarded with a certificate for the BIO Thema-uitwerking Clouddiensten.

AWS customers across the Dutch public sector can use AWS certified services with confidence, knowing that the AWS services listed in the certificate adhere to the strict requirements for the use of cloud-based services.

The AWS services that are in scope of BIO Thema-uitwerking Clouddiensten can be found on the AWS Services in Scope by Compliance Program page and on the certificate issued by the independent third party auditor.

BIO Thema-uitwerking Clouddiensten certificate covers Ireland, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris, Stockholm, and Spain Regions.

The certificate is published on AWS Artifact along with a summary version of the assessment report and the self-assessment itself.
