Usage instructions
To get started with the product, launch the instance using the suggested security group rules (Inbound from 8080 and 3389).
Connecting via Web Interface Using your browser, navigate to http://52.2.3.4:8080 (replace 52.2.3.4 with the Instance's public IP). The user name is ubuntu and the password is the instance ID.
Connecting via RDP client Using your favorite RDP client, connect to the instance public IP, if asked use the default port 3389. The user name is ubuntu and the password is the instance ID.
Additional considerations
- If you are using only one connection method make sure to remove the Security Group rule that allows the other method, for improved security. If you are using only the RDP client, you can delete the rule for the TCP port 8080 and if you are only using the Web Interface ups can delete the rule that allows the TCP port 3389.
- You can change the password in the Ubuntu interface.
- You can also use the private IP of the instances, in case you are in a corporate environment with proper connectivity.
- Perform regular backups (EBS Snapshots) of your instances.
