Overview
NVIDIA Isaac Sim™, is a scalable robotics simulation application and synthetic data generation tool that powers photorealistic, physically-accurate virtual environments to develop, test, and manage AI-based robots. Built on NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim leverages Omniverse Kit's powerful simulation technologies including advanced GPU-enabled physics simulation with PhysX 5, photorealism with real-time ray and path tracing, and MDL material definition support for physically-based rendering. Isaac Sim provides a physically-accurate virtual environment to develop, test, and manage AI-based robots, and provides the essential features for building virtual robotics experiments, including importing robot models, and simulating sensors such as RGB-D, Lidar, contact, ultrasonic, and IMU. Isaac Sim supports navigation, manipulation, deep learning applications through Python, ROS and Isaac SDK. For AI applications, Isaac Sim provides extensive tools for synthetic data generation such as domain randomization, ground truth labeling, segmentation, and bounding boxes.

Isaac Sim docker container
- Amazon ECS
Container image
Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

Usage instructions
URIs to pull container(s) in this release are available in the "View container image details" link under the "Container Images" section of the Launch page (Continue to Subscribe -> Continue to Configuration -> Continue to Launch).
On Amazon EC2 (recommended: g5.8xlarge) NVIDIA recommends the NVIDIA Omniverse GPU-Optimized AMI available on the AWS Marketplace or IsaacSim-Ubuntu-18.04-GPU-2022-05-31 available under community AMIs for validated and optimal performance of Isaac Sim container.
You can pull this container using the command: docker pull 709825985650.dkr.ecr.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/nvidia/nvidia:2022.1.1
If there's an error stating 'no basic auth credentials', then please configure your aws credentials as follows: aws ecr get-login-password --region us-east-1 | docker login --username AWS --password-stdin 709825985650.dkr.ecr.us-east-1.amazonaws.com
To run the container, execute:
docker run --name isaac-sim --entrypoint bash -it --gpus all -e "ACCEPT_EULA=Y" --rm --network=host
