Overview
QNX® Hypervisor 2.2 lets you consolidate multiple systems with diverse OSs and different reliability and security requirements onto a single System on a Chip (SoC). You can, for example, build a safety-critical system certified to standards such as IEC 61508 and ISO 26262 that includes one or more safety-certified virtual machines. These virtual machines can contain non-safety guest systems and run alongside safety-certified software components executing mission-critical work. Whatever your overall system requirements, with the QNX Hypervisor users are able to implement the features they need, on the OSs they prefer, all the while reducing system power consumption and the need for thermal dissipation, and especially reducing both initial development costs and long-term cost of ownership.
This cloud-enabled version of the Hypervisor is part of the BlackBerry QNX Accelerate initiative. Develop mission-critical embedded systems software, globally, at scale. Accelerate development cycles with full ARM64 binary parity, interface parity and CI/CD pipeline integration. Focus on innovation, with reduced capital expenditure and faster time-to-market.

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
