You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
To connect to the instance, use your favorite VNC client (connect to the TCP port 5901). The password is the first 8 characters of the Instance Id after the dash (Ex: for the instance id i-1a2b3c4d5e6f7g8h9 , the password would be 1a2b3c4d)
