    2 week assessment of enterprise cloud usage and scope of cost and carbon optimization across many dimensions including cloud services, security, application, data, and operations. Deliver from a menu of 2-hour Sustainable Tech Workshops: Upskilling and workshops can also facilitate identification of short-term actions that could be prioritized to reduce the carbon impact of a team’s cloud use. Topics include: Understand the fundamentals – climate and emissions overview; How to recognize the carbon impact of cloud components; Identify the considerations for cloud carbon; Develop green software optimization strategies; Identify opportunities to apply green software optimization strategies and allocate team responsibilities. Participants take away knowledge of green software principles, market trends, tactical strategies, broader awareness of tooling, and the methods that can be used to continue reduction efforts. Provides best practices recommendations for greener cloud usage and cost optimizations

    • Assessment Questionnaire
    • Analysis of the CSP generated cloud usage reports
    • Identification of unused, under-utilized, over-provisioned cloud resources
    • Develop a customized cost optimization plan
    • Upskilling workshops
    • Effort vs Value prioritization workshop for cloud infrastructure optimizations
    • Complementary follow-on analysis of collected cloud carbon data from in-place tooling is available (note: would extend engagement in wk 3)

    Deliverables A quick-assessment report and a final presentation containing:

    • Maturity scale for the assessed dimensions to help the enterprise understand current state and achieve desired state
    • Green Cloud Optimization “cheat-sheet” + list of optimization strategies
    • A review of how GreenOps can incentivize and influence cultural shift towards sustainable transformation.
    • Roadmap for baselining cloud emissions down to service level detail, cost optimization scope, and recommendations
