Overview
EB corbos Linux is an open-source operating system for high-performance automotive computing, leveraging the rich functionality of Linux, while meeting automotive security and industry regulations. Binary packages are combined and configured to optimize resource usage and commonality. Security is ensured by managing Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) plus software defects, while providing updates with extensive testing, verification and validation. Security and software maintenance options are available for up to 15 years.
This AMI integrates EB corbos Linux - built on Ubuntu SDK, which is a customizable, cloud-ready software package that comes with everything you need to build application source code (for C, C++ and Go) into complete functional EB corbos Linux images.
EB corbos Linux OS images built by this SDK are ready to run on supported targets or within the AMI itself via QEMU emulation and are deployable in complex infrastructures. EB corbos Linux SDK tools are based on well-established Linux projects, including Open Build Service, Podman, and several others.
This software is provided free of charge.
Highlights
- Integrate your applications and build a custom OS image. Leverage powerful build machines from AWS to accelerate development for faster time to market.
- Develop virtually by emulating your software and hardware. Integrate the EB corbos Linux SDK into your cloud-based CI/CD/CT system.
- Instantiate a full featured edition of EB corbos Linux with emulation support (QEMU), or on x86-64 PC architecture, now supporting containerized build environment and Microsoft Visual Studio Code™.

64-bit (x86) Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Version release notes
This version is the initial version of the EB corbos Linux SDK.

Usage instructions
Launch: Upon launch, any available instance type may be selected. However, we recommend opting for the pre-selected instance type "t3.xlarge" for optimal performance. NOTE: Whatever instance type you chose, make sure the system will have enough disk space for the generated image(s). We recommend 16 GB or more. To gain access to the virtual machine, a key pair must be provided during launch. Detailed instructions on the requirements for the key pair and how to create and import it can be found in the AWS EC2 documentation (refer to "Additional Resources"). At a minimum, it is necessary to configure a security group that allows SSH access for network settings. By default, access is permitted from anywhere (IP range 0.0.0.0/0), but this configuration can be adjusted during runtime as needed.
Accessing the Instance: Instructions on how to connect to an AWS EC2 Linux instance can be found in the "Additional Resources" section. Please note that the root login is locked and disabled. Instead, use the username "ubuntu" for login purposes.
