TIBCO Spotfire for the Win!
What do you like best about the product?
The simple platform and navigation allows for even those not as skilled in data analytics to navigate. It is easy to understand and the team at TIBCO provides great support for those that may need advice or assistance. The interface TIBCO has allowed me to easily input and monitor student progress comparing them individually as well as a larger group. Spotfire far outweighs Excel in its simplicity and ability to create more intentional and meaningful graphs and charts that are easy to understand. Excel has minimal capabilities of "drilling down" large sets of data and using this program greatly improves presentations, specific targeting for grant writing and feedback to parents, teachers, and administrative staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the interface is fairly simple to navigate, those that do not have advanced skills or knowledge of data organizations/analytics may struggle to find the right way to get the outcome they desire. However with support from the TIBCO staff it can be easily understood and their videos on navigating the software are also helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I utilize TIBCO Spotfire in an educational/clinical setting. The software allows for me to find behavioral trends in my students and the easy to understand graphics support in grant writing. We are currently in the stages of re-integrating it within my new job to help with determining trends in student behavior and using this information to present to school districts on why they should use our mental health clinical school as a primary referral over others. Using this in a non-profit places an organization in a position to compete with for-profit companies within the same field.

Use the expert staff that are completely familiar with the program to help you navigate the extent of it's capabilities!

Good for the studies.
What do you like best about the product?
The best are the clear tools for visualization possibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
At some points, especially when you want to see what you can do with a graphic, better hints would be very nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboards for businesses. Furthermore, simple statistics for my university. However, I was able to do most things well, so the negative aspects do not detract from the whole. You can accomplish most things very well and can essentially work with it and deliver very good results. In this sense, thank you for the good features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One would just need to be able to add a little more malt. There are also reasons to implement more. In the end, one can say that there are good reasons to continue here, and I look forward to spot as well as ping systems to bring many more experiences to the whole. Who knows to what extent things will change in the next few weeks or not.

Spotfire is the best tool I have come in contact with for graphics and maps for presentations in my career.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only problem is that imported shapefiles can not be edited in Spotfire.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data realization and trends are much easier to visualize in Spotfire and being able to interact with the map for data selection is a huge help.

What do you like best about the product?
I've worked with multiple visualization tools through 7 years of my career in data analysis and definitely spotfire is the best product I've used, it is a powerful tool capable to accomplish simple and complex tasks, from analyze excel data to predictive business analysis. It has built-in visualizations that can be extended with D3 and other visualization libraries by using js.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmm, I think there is an opportunity area regarding the visualization layout and themes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm mainly analizing operational data from administrative areas as finance and operations, the main benefit that I have realized is that I'm now able to deliver data solutions faster, allowing our business to move faster and be competitive

What do you like best about the product?
Great experience for analysis. I personally use it to analyze data in the manufacturing industry and it’s user friendly and really simple to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing data with large excel files and lack of customization on graphs.

Evaluation of metrics in the manufacturing industry.
Great BI Software
What do you like best about the product?
The TERR engine allows me to implement a wide array of open-source libraries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Accessing REST APIs is not trivial for the average user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spotfire reduces the time and learning curve for Petroleum Engineers and those in the industry to slice/dice and analyze their data.

I LOVE the user interface of this tool. So easy to use and so intuitive. This tool helps you analyze data and you can produce report including visuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't handle large files, I am also new to the tool so haven't discovered too many issues.

take a look at the online tutorials to get yourself familiar with the tool. Definitely take advantage of any trial offers that may be available.

Its user friendly and can have amazing easy visulaizations where there would be no need to actually explain the data which would be displayed by various visualisations. Easy to learn nd can include complex calculations

Whatever i have worked on uptil now, i dont see any shortcomings in spotfire

Data analysis, short and precise reports
Great for communicating your findings to upper management
What do you like best about the product?
This software is extremely intuitive, I learned how to effectively use the software in less than a day and was able to use it to make my anchor project findings for my internship easy to understand for the upper management I was presenting to. It's super easy to use and customize to what you want it to look like and convey. Furthermore, exporting is also extremely easy and you won't be prompted to do anything difficult to use your findings in other application services - like powerpoint.
What do you dislike about the product?
The filter settings for your data are very stringent and will apply to everything, so you do have to be weary about filtering, or create a new page for your next visual dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solved my a problem of us being able to quickly and easily display in depth findings and draw actionable conclusions based on the data.

If you sit with another member of your team and see what they use the software for, or work on a project together, it'll be much easier for you to understand. This works great with syndicated data reports.
