CPM - Great for SQL Servers!
CPM provides a missing link for those virtual machines that are migrated from an on-premise VM infrastructure to AWS. We have a backup requirement to provide virtual machine snapshots of SQL servers at the host level. We need these snapshots to be able to perform VSS snapshots so that there is a point in time backup with all SQL transactions committed. CPM performs this backup process seamlessly with a user friendly interface and easily configured schedules and backups. This works great and creates vm-level AWS snapshots which can then be moved to different regions, be recovered with no lost SQL transactions, and work reliably. CPM meets all of our goals!

Best backup product available
CPM Backup is great for backup and restore all AWS environments whatever small or big.
Consistent Windows backups is a must have for us and was the main factor for our decision to use CPM.
And the new file level restore feature is a cool option to only restore the data needed.
Requested features are implemented in an adequate timeline.
Also the support is very fast and capable.
Just keep on improving the solution continously!
Cloud Protection Manager is what AWS backup is missing
We have been using CPM to back up our AWS infrastructure for about 3 months and could not be happier. Snapshots are great for a few servers but become cumbersome and difficult to maintain when you are backing up over 100 instances. CPM is simple, set a schedule (or multiple schedules as we have) attach a policy to the schedule and select the backup targets, whether they are entire instances, certain volumes or even RDS instances.
We currently back up instances on a daily basis, some less used instances weekly and snapshot MongoDB volumes as often as every hour depending on the database. CPM manages all this seamlessly with ZERO daily maintenance, the only way we know it is running and protecting us is the daily “CPM Daily Summary - All OK” messages. It took some time of testing instance backups and restores as well as snapshot recoverability but 100% of the time CPM restored a perfect copy of the original. We soon got to the point where we trust CPM to do exactly what we purchased it to do, backup our AWS infrastructure and keep us safe from data loss.
CPM is the only cloud backup solution I have found that competes with traditional data center backup offerings. Using the software is familiar and intuitive if you have ever used one of the mainstream data center backup programs. Having used CPM for a few months we would be lost without it, manual (or even scripted) snapshot manipulation is tedious. Even with a snapshot of all volumes restoring a complete server is a laborious endeavor, with CPM it is as simple as pushing a button!
Final note, the few times we have needed help from support the response from N2W Software has been exceptional. We had an issue during our initial trial that was somewhat specific to our use case and support provided a patch within hours that solved our problem. Excellent tech support.
