VyOS - excellent support
What do you like best about the product?
Vyos has provide InnovaIT with great ability to tackle complex routing with excellent support to match. Our groundbreaking routing requirements have really pushed the envelope with VyOS and there excellent support tech with technical ability have really shinned when it was required.
I would highly recommend VyOS and working with the team.

VyOs has been great, there isnt much to dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
VyOS is solving complex VXLAN over EvPN routing requirements into the cloud and their technical team really helped in this solution.

Ability to supply multiple VPN connection points - both remote users/road warriors and for site-to-site.

Pretty good for what it is
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use coming in from other devices. It's extremely easy to get a grasp of how it works

Just how different it is from everything else, no similarity to a lot of things is a tad annoying

I needed a free, and easy to use virtual router

it allows fine-grained control over BGP route advertisements.
VyOS enables AS path manipulation, which is crucial for traffic engineering and load balancing. By selectively prepending AS path information, we can influence route selection across multiple BGP peers.
VyOS is built on a Linux-based operating system, which provides a significant advantage for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
VyOS’s Linux foundation means we can create custom scripts, automate tasks, and integrate with other tools. Whether it’s monitoring, backup, or dynamic configuration changes, the Linux shell provides endless possibilities.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little i dont like about Vyos. It has been an excellent product so far. It would be useful to have tools to quickly analyze the bandwidth traffic (top talkers).

VyOS is a cost effective and fully virtualized solution for our edge and core network infrastructure allowing us to grow the business while keeping our cost structure low. Network engineers have no issue jumping from Cisco or Juniper to VyOS.

What do you like best about the product?
Its best virtual routers Software that help to define newtork as well help protect network. Its solve problem to switch network from one machine to another. its open source and well documented. we using this software 2020 to till now its esy to deploy on network.

the products from VyOS company are based on open-source (Debian-based) and we liked it very much it.

I mean, I am not sure about if something I disagree or something.

What do you like best about the product?
Finally a router with a professional CLI available for the masses. All features needed for a full fledged ISP are available, from VRRP, to OSPF and BGP. The community is great and helps out whenever there are issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the documentation is not detailed enough.

Stable connectivity platform for all my users, both in the cloud, in DC and via VPN.
The most stable networking software I've ever used
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using VyOS for several years now, both for internet edge routing and site-to-site VPN connectivity. For someone who's experienced in working with networks it's not only easy to use but also quite feature rich, and most importantly it's incredibly stable. I trust VyOS more than I trust any of the other networking equipment we use today.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing comes to mind. It works exactly as intended.

VyOS in Academic Network Education Program
What do you like best about the product?
I use VyOS for academic education in The University of Tokyo. I provide some courses for students to exercise constructing network in virtual environment. I implement the environment using GNS3 and VyOS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to say because currently no problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using VyOS, I provide physical small routers to students for exercise. It is costly to prepare the environments for all students.
After using VyOS, I can provision the environment for each sdudent easily and students can make exercise just using web browser.
