Great Experience with datadog
What do you like best about the product?
Datadog is very easy to integrate and has very good examples for all configurations. It can be implemented easily and has a number of features. It is used frequently by us for monitoring our services.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is a bit expensive for advanced fea.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made monitoring our services very easy. Custom metrics feature is used a lot by us .

Datadog - A multipurpose tool for monitoring events
What do you like best about the product?
Datadog is a great tool for easy monitoring of production and development events.
Easy to implement with other softwares like Github,Aws,Azure,Cassandra,etc.
It can be frequently used to track and trigger multiple events and logs.
Great customer support available via chatbot,emails,call and slack.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of benefits of Datadog but few points need to be noted:
1. The storage and consumption of data is costly.
2. Beneficial only for large organizations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Datadog has leveraged our logistics business to a great extent by triggering instant on call events based on the conditions and formulas provided for the input of log metrics.Great real time monitoring for all events related to production.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I was able to create synthetic scripts and synthetic monitors such as ping for testing whether our website is properly working or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had a very good experience and a good discovery with this software.

Collecting metrics and events enabling efficient management of our IT infrastructure.
Simple, Fast and Effective
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity in setup, its very easy to create things like a regular upcheck and have it sent to your alerting channel of choice

I find it doesn't have as many features as its competitors do for our purposes. We use datadog as part of a suite of services rather than a one-stop-shop
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can be difficult to be aware of downtime on your services, especially when it happens for a specific container in your fleet. Datadog helps us notice this immediately and alerts us

Extremely large set of features, covers many types of services to be monitored.

Can be overwheling if not experienced with the platform

Mostly monitoring serverless distributed systems
I’ve used many tools for log ingestion and monitoring and I find datadog the most complete

So many features to tailor your dashboards as your preference

Documentation is not always so clear. More interactive videos about how to use all its functionalities would be much appreciated

It allows me to easily detect any anomalies with my services. And bugs are so much easier to track and resolve

Endless plugins, all our dbs and infra can find a straightforward and easy-to-set-up integration

Support is not fast to respond. And also pricing is quite high for smaller companies like ours

All the information is centralized in one fully customizable tool with good documentation and hot dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upon first contact with it, it can be hard to understand the best usage of all the possibilities and customize the integration with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using it to track and measure my application usage and ended up solving other problems that I didn't know I had, like tracking heat maps from my websites, errors, and the best dashboards to visualize my history.

What do you like best about the product?
The easy integration with our systems. The customizable dashboards and realtime email notifications to my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found a way to integrate SMS notifications when a system goes down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-We have sensitive ETL's that needs to run at specific times, if something when wrong with the server we will receive notifications and we can restart the server or check what's going on quickly.
-Background process monitoring - We get email notifications if mysql server is down, nginx, apache, etc.
