Best git client amongst all!
What do you like best about the product?
One word - Everything! Especially the pull request review process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. Sometimes slow & unresponsive, but that could be due to bad server
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made it much faster & easier.
Easy to use and very handy
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that one can perform many git operations using the webpage itself. The ability to perform ci/cd along with many features such as keeping track of different merge requests make it a powerful code management tool
What do you dislike about the product?
No features as such, mostly easy to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing source codes between teams and providing visibility about different ongoing and finished tasks
Integrated solution for development workflow
What do you like best about the product?
GitLab does a great job at creating a unified experience for our developers. We previously had several best-of bread solutions (code repository, issue tracker, CI runners and deployment pipelines) co-exist between our team, but we managed to consolidate this into a single solutions, which meets most of our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The issue tracker's functionality is limited and is often described as hard-to-use for non-technical users. We have trouble with GitLab.com's stability/performance/uptime in the best, but this has become a lot better over the past year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A single solution for most of our development workflow. This helped us to on boarding new developers more quickly while reducing operational overhead.
Go to for my Dev team.
What do you like best about the product?
Fantastic for collaboration at pace and super effective for version control.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bit of a learning curve. cli can be intimidating for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows fantastic collaboration. Implementation of merge.requests has allowed us to adopt TBD.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'm not sure who could even be considered a competitor. It's the industry standard.
Easy to submit and review changes
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to submit and review changes across teams
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing specific that I dislike about GitLab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing source code and code reviews.
Complete tracking of the projects
What do you like best about the product?
GitLab offers a variety of features for importing and exporting certain projects to anywhere. Also, I prefer it’s ability to create task panels that enables me to divide all the workload into different sections and also these panels can be named and assign people as well in teamwork. Best feature of this application is its ability to create repository, also to set certain permissions is making my experience more valuable on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Each feature of GitLab is so much intuitive and effective to organize tasks at a good range. There is nothing to be worried about in this application every feature is enough useful to get all the updates from any sort of project from anywhere in the world. GitLab has no drawbacks that are significant only sometimes its working becomes slow but it can be due to overload on the system server that makes it a bit laggy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gitlab is serving me in a very good way as it completely tracks my projects from each and every aspect and make it easier for me to keep check and balance. I like the user interface of this product that keeps my work in an ongoing process and also it’s so much easy to understand. Transition of this application is so much smooth and always interactive enough to meet my needs. Also for me the best thing about it is it’s free of cost availability that allows me to use it without spending any penny.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Indeed a good product to be suggested in case of maintaining group works and also to share them with teammates how they should work or not. Everything is so much fascinating in it that perfectly meets my desire of group work. So for me it’s a good product to use in terms of analysing all the tasks that are assigned in order to meet deadlines.
Gitlab is an amazing tool for ci/cd and version control. It helps keep large projects organized.
What do you like best about the product?
Support for issue boards, for example Done, doing, and to-do boards to stay on track
What do you dislike about the product?
Strange way of archiving products developed in a group
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Version control; if we break our code we roll back to the previous version without any issues
The best tool to control projects
What do you like best about the product?
It supports multiple repositories, security and low cost or even though free access for individuals. Gitlab is the best on-premise solution for managing a code base with the added benefit of having a complete CI pipeline with the code. I can interact with another user and I learned a lot using this.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like the way this utility displays the diff between 2 versions that we are a branch office and needed to contact the corporation to modify some firewall and network settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Git was not an option because I would not publish the source code to the world, but only to the target audience. We track changes to our source repositories, requiring merge requests and code review. Therefore, we use most resources to create open source solutions using GitLab to house source code.
Easy to use project manager
What do you like best about the product?
I like the feature off being able to trigger events upon pushing to a branch, deploying a branch to a test server for instance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I couldnt easly find a graphical program to use it with. I personally pefer a graphical interface above a console. I would like to so some support for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Code management
