NAS level backup jobs at Nutanix level using veeam.
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam neat and clean interface and proper documentation. We had a. Lot of issues while deployment but eventually we figured them out due to the proper documentation available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing. Its costly. Veeam should work on their pricing model a bit to make it more affordable. Good technology should be made available in reasonable pricing to get good and permanent customer base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doing Nas backup jobs for nutanix files to aws. We had a use case of backing up our nutanix files which are distributed to the aws as our dr model. We tried different solutions but veeam worked out the best for us.

Its one of the best available solution out there.

What do you like best about the product?
Cost-effective, reliable and fast recovery, the integration is very easy, recovery possible for tiny files to VM
What do you dislike about the product?
User Interface can be improved, the community edition is not very helpful to the first TRY product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most important, daily back-up and recovery when needed. The recovery is super fast and can be drilled down to file level. The integration worked seamless making it use for multiple layers.
Excellent Product - Has Saved us several times for Customer Data and Server Rebuilds
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to deploy, easy to automate the backup features. Provides us alerts and updates for whenever a backup is successful or not. Also easy to reimage back onto a virtual machine in AWS>
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost. At times the cost is a bit more than we expected. In addition, sometimes backups cannot be restored without the assistance of Veeam Support due to unsupported formats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving problems for servers that are missed or when we cannot rollback to a certain time with documents or folders data or performance issues from deployment of our virtual servers.

Yes, would recommend if anyone requires a solid backup solution. Easy to use and easy to deploy

backing up data base servers are awseome and restoration to the cloud also easy in few steps

some times we need to restore twice may be due to network latency .Data base restoration will be effected should have a longer window for change

Veeam offers tight integration with services inside your AWS account.
What do you dislike about the product?
Veeam requires dedicated EC2 instance(s) and will spin up ephemeral instances during job execution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We required EC2 instance backups, and Veeam does this well. One nice feature is that you can do file system browsing and individual file restores.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't mind running EC2 instances to host the backup solution in your account, Veeam works great for native EC2 backups and restores.
