Easy to backup and recover files
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to connect to O365 and start running the backup. Most of all, you can choose a Retention Policy based on your needs. With O365 backup, not only can exchange emails be backed up, it can backup teams, onedrive and Sharepoint, and using Veeam Explorer, it is easy to recover data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Till this time haven't found anything to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
O365 has 30 days backup only, and if any file needs to be restored which is more than 30 days old, then it is not possible. With Veeam Backup, you can choose a retention policy and create a backup. On top of it email, and Teams can also be backed up.

Overview of Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to configure. The interface is similar to the Veeam Back and Replication application
Once configured the backup run automatically
Backing up the complete Office 365 profile of a user, which includes Outlook, Sharepoint, Teams, etc
Ease of use of the application
Documentation for Veeam Backup is straight forward to understand
Storage can be onsite or in the cloud

What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to choose which objects of an Office 365 profile to backup. For instance, whether to include or exclude specific folders or files
The application becomes unusable if the latest update is not installed
No cloud management
Search option needs to be improved
Cannot remove old backups
The explorers for viewing the backed up data are in separate applications
Creating repositories was a little difficult. If Veeam Backup and Replication resides on the same machine and the repository is the same location, for instance a NAS, some tweaking would need to be done

While Office 365 does its backup, having a secondary backup, just in case there was an issue accessing Office 365 directly, is a good idea.
Having an offsite backup of the Office 365 environment.

Simple interface for administration therefore there is minimal to low cost for training.
Fast backups means less internet bandwidth being used.
Backups are performed on time.
Recovery of accidental deletion of Office 365 items is quick

The interface for the application is simeple and easy to use
I will recommend that knowledge of Office 365 is needed. At least knowledge of setting permissions in Office 365.
The account used to authenticate to Office 365 will be added to the security permissions of all folders, files and mailboxes in Office 365.

Very useful tool to backup Office 365 mailboxes, archives, Onedrive, sharepoint sites
What do you like best about the product?
browsing data in backup files is so smooth and fast as if it was on outlook. Versioning is another feature for sharepoint to check files versions and modifications. Each file can be restored alone.

sometimes mailbox archives keep failing with no reason

Having a second copy of user mailboxes in case, we needed to delete the mailbox and free up the license.

Simple to use and stable product
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam for office and Veeam for servers is the perfect combination of tools to handle all backup needs in modern businesses. The easy to use interface makes it a simple choice.

Currently nothing, there is nothing to dislike

Does not require a separate user account for taking backups
Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 is a must have software
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 is allowing us to have our own copy of our backups. Microsoft provide an integrated backup solution but sensitive data like email and legal documents need to be own by us, and with Veeam Backup for O365 we can do just that. We tried other solution that invoved manual steps to obtain that data, with Veeam Backup for O365 everything can be automated.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike with this product, like most other Veeam products, Veeam Backup for O365 is a simple yet robust solution to manage our backup needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to have the backup of our data in our own datacenters, there's an integrated backup solution provided by the vendor (Microsoft) but it was not enough for us. With Veeam Backup for O365 have the peace of mind of having our data in our hands.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want an easy to ue but powerful software to gain control over what is stored in Microsoft Office 365, I highly recommend Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365.

Backup Job Settings are not as flexible as in Veeam B&R

version 4 is great and really helps maintain legal/compliance requirements. It's made storing large amounts of data and content easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints so far - overall good product

storing content in onedrive's cloud always posed a small risk of losing valuable collateral, but Veeam's backup reduces the risk.
Quick and easy to setup and pretty good pricing

It's easy to setup backup of user data using active directory group synced to azure

Backup repository cannot be a network drive. it has to be local storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to restore when user accidentally deleted emails or when previous employees has deleted all data.

I think it will be hard to find a better software to use to backup user data in Office 365

I like that it was easy to install and setup once the account to be used for the backups was received by our o365 admin

I would like to save backups on network drives, not only local volumes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There have been some times where users accidentally deletes huge amounts of emails from their inbox and does not discover it until days after.

Just go for it. I am sure you won't find a better option.
