What do you dislike about the product?
There is hardly anything that I do not like about Okta SSO Software. When I thought very hard, I could think of the initial setup complexity, and it was a little expensive compared to the competitors.

We tried to introduce Okta in our organization as a SSO solution. We did ran a beta phase and received quite a positive feedback in the daily use of our org services by our employees.

Certified Okta Administrator Review
What do you like best about the product?
Okta has always been easy to use. Whether it comes to integrating applications, onboarding users, or working with their Okta Expression Language, it usually makes sense in 90% of situations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The 10% of situations that are muddy. Why is there no way to bulk import a list of users to a group? I need to either do an API call that contains all of the Okta user ID's OR create a dummy application, import those users via CSV there, then create the group, then import the users to the group from that application. It doesn't seem necessary to have these extra steps.
Also, the Okta workflows are insanely confusing to digest on the first few passes. Even with the videos. Some things are much easier for me to understand if I were to code from scratch.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've integrated over 40 apps into our organization with Okta. We currently use it to manage the lifecycle of our users. Okta handles our MFA and password management. It streamlines the entire process of managing cloud applications and user accounts in our org.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's the best in its class, but the cost may be a bit higher than other solutions. While it's worth the value, budget considerations may come in to play.
Used every day, but not because I love it
What do you like best about the product?
It keeps all of my business apps in one place and gives me single sign-on access to the tools I use in my day-to-day responsibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not very customizable, at least not in ways that I find helpful. For example, my "recently used" apps appear above the complete app list. When I use the same apps repeatedly, they are right at the top, which makes finding them easy. I can group the apps however I like as well. However, if I randomly use an app (something I don't usually use), it bumps one of my more frequently used apps out of the "recent" area, which is right at the top of the page. I then have to find it in my main app list. While it does allow users to create sections (I could create a "favorites" section, for example), it doesn't seem to allow me to move my sections around. What is the point of having a favorites section if it will be down at the bottom of the page? The point of creating such a section is to eliminate the need to search & scroll. Ideally, I would like to do away with the recent list, create a favorite section and put that at the top. Or, I'd like to pin apps to the top. My main complaint is that it basically creates this giant list of apps with little ability (other than dragging around and re-arranging) to organize them functionally. Also, my browser has a built-in password keeper, rendering Okta redundant at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do not need to remember all of my passwords, which is helpful because I have many. The passwords that it remembers for me are entered automatically, saving me time. When it comes to single-sign-on, it makes things even more straightforward because it enables me to use my main username and password to enter multiple sites. This eliminates the need to create more passwords and usernames, which further simplifies the sign-in process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Organize your apps by most frequently used to least as you add the chicklets to your page. Trying to organize them after the fact requires a lot of scrolling.
