The future for the Cloud Data Stack
What do you like best about the product?
Matillion products allow any organization to smoothly migrate to the cloud or even help them go to the cloud from the start. Matillion ETL and Matillion Data Loader are both extremely user-friendly and cover every aspect of data flow. That will be even easier now, thanks to the new Data Productivity Cloud (DPC).
One of the best things about Matillion products is that they are incredibly easy for business users to learn even if they have no coding background, while yet allowing developers to leverage their coding expertise to achieve even more in the platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
One feature that I still miss in the Matillion ETL and the Data Productivity Cloud is the ability for users to directly upload files such as excel or csv from their local desktop computers to the platform. I am aware customers can upload them to a cloud stage such as a bucket on S3, but that solution is not as simple or user-friendly for business users.
Other cloud platforms, such as Sigma and Trifacta, allow users to upload local files and temporarily store them on the platform instance. I'm not sure how that works in detail on the backend, but I feel it's worthwhile for the Matillion team to undertake some benchmarking with these other technologies to find a method to accomplish the same. This will bring in even more business users.
Note: Could the platform administrator configure a universal cloud stage so that when users try to upload files from local, they actually upload to this stage and the Matillion platform reads from there?

I advise my clients on how to use the platform and use it to meet their business objectives, such as automating data pipelines, integrating systems, ensuring data quality, and making data available based on permissions. All in the name of adding more value to the company.

Extremely easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I come from a ETL/Data Engineering background and have worked on Ab Initio and Azure Data Factory for quite long. I found Matillion very easy to use and intuitive. I also liked the fact that finally a product is there which uses the power of DataBricks but you do not have write lines of code.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, very few video tutorials are available for using Matillion on Azure and connecting to Azure Synapse. Most of the material/videos available now are focused on AWS.
The free subscription duration for new users and learners is 15 days. I feel that is way less and would like to see it increased.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I prefer to think of Matillion as a cloud agnostic ETL tool. Using Matillion, one is not limited to the ETL/Data Engineering tool provided by the cloud vendor.

What do you like best about the product?
The most fascinating thing about Matillion is the No-Code drag drop component based orchestration & Transformation flows and the wide array of integrations inside ETL and the data loader.Best subscription model along with easy sclaing. The Matillion API is one of the most used interface in our organisation
What do you dislike about the product?
As it is excelling in extraction,Transformation and ease of accessibility it has this downside where users Te not able to create upstream applications integrations like JIRA ticket creation, Lead generation on events. Basically upstream integration is still a bottleneck.

Matillion is great tool for data engineering and analytics
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Matillion ETL for several months now, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the platform. It has made our data integration processes much more efficient and streamlined, and has significantly reduced the time and effort required to manage our data pipelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hope Matillion will improve the git integration and make it more efficient interns of deployment of pipeline between environments. And use an external registry that will work as an interface between Matillion and the backend for repository.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the things I appreciate most about Matillion ETL is its ease of use. The visual interface is intuitive and user-friendly, and makes it easy to create and manage data pipelines without requiring extensive technical knowledge or coding skills. The pre-built connectors for popular databases and applications are also a huge time-saver, and the ability to create custom connectors as needed is a great feature.

Very easy to learn
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn if you're familiar with any other data transformation tool. Allows easy drag and drop but also offers full power of native SQL or Python when needed. Very good value for money - scales very well, also for small use cases. Uses the processing power of modern cloud data warehouses by using SQL pushdown.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI sometimes is a bit clunky and not very state of the art. You need to familiarize with some tips and tricks to work around those quirks. The application connectors still require a lot of customization compared to a specialized EL tool like Fivetran.

Extract data from various sources into our cloud data warehouse and then transform it into meaningful data to enable analysis of business use cases. Orchestrate and automate all repetitive tasks for data loading including error handling and notifications.

What do you like best about the product?
I like it's visualistic approach and user friendliness user interface with less complexity. Drag and drop functionality increases the ease of use. It has pay as you go so you only pay for what you use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Few connectors doesn't work well when it comes to legacy systems.
When it comes to support it takes a lot of time to to resolve the query through support. Scheduling functionality needs some improvement.

Execution is much faster and better user interface solves lot of problems as ease of use make it benefitting. Cheap for organization's as you pay only for what you use.
