Love the Lakehouse
What do you like best about the product?
The Databricks Lakehouse platform is so easy to use and integrate with. I could never look back!
What do you dislike about the product?
This is not specific to Databricks, but actually my company's implementation of Databricks currently. We are not utilizing it to its fullest and really should be!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Databricks for me personally is helping to gather and make insights off of the retailer data that we have coming in today to better prepare our sales team

Great alternative for traditional data warehousing
What do you like best about the product?
Lakehouse platform can take data operations and consumption to future
What do you dislike about the product?
A good couple of features still needs development. *but development is continuous.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost and complexity of traditional data warehousing.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how the platform unifies data engineering, data visualizing, ML workloads and governance, among many other aspects of Data and AI. The company is continuing to innovate and improve the platform and add new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the documentation for new features is too scarce and hard to read. This gets fixed over time but should be addressed as soon as new features are released
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform helps process massive amounts of data quickly and cost-efficiently. It also helps me with training and deploying machine learning models as well as governing data assets

open source, easy to use and available on both azure and aws

im using on the gov cloud, so not much of the new ai services are out yet

all if not most of it, the etl is being done on databricks and some analytics

Having worked in various data platforms over the last 30 years I found DataBricks to be easy to deploy and easy to understand. Allowing for fantastic performance and usefulness.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest struggle is trying to convince old-school relational DW Architects that they should modernize before they get left behind. Eliminating the fear by explaining to them they can still use SQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize Databricks for large-scale data analytics and data science. DataBricks ease of deployment allows for easy data ingestion from various sources and simple integration with enterprise-level analytics tools.
It has enabled us to build production pipelines faster than ever

It's simplicity and attention to detail. The product team is constantly release new features that make our lives easier

Cost can be an issue. You need to put a lot of time into optimization compared to other warehouse solutions

Consumption based billing and customer facing analytics
Databricks has helped bring AI to the mass

The flexibility it has and all the features that work perfectly within the environment for training and putting models into production.

The new editor experience does not work well with a Spanish keyboard

Obtain useful insights from our customers that has leverage us to provide them with better experience ve through tour services and products.
Good performance and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Lake house has helped us to be more productive and have a better governance combined with the use of unity catalog
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing has gone wrong with the use,some implementations were not available when using external tables in unity catalog but now it's working fine
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Is being helpful in having a centralized control for 3 different purpose teams of data. And having the data available and more manageable
databricks is a solution for all things data

that it is truly end to end, it is probably the vendor we use the most

lack of a good native IDE. The recently released vs code extension partially solves this tho.

it's enabling us to manage data, code and models at scale

I like delta live tables a lot because of the ease of building integrations for incremental data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Databricks could show cost of a cluster while provisioning then it would be helpful for some of the newer users to size the cluster appropriately.

Datarbricks platform helps put together all the data engineering, monitoring, alerting, data warehousing and machine learning problems simultaneously, which is super helpful for the organization of our scale.
