MongoDb Atlas- Best Cloud based Db
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about MongoDB is that it is super easy to use as it is a cloud-based database, so you don't have to fire any query to perform any operation. I use MongoDB atlas daily with Node.js, and It is super easy to connect with the node server using the cluster service provided by the MongoDB atlas. Creating a schema is super easy. I will recommend a newbie to first start with MongoDB atlas, and then you can shift to MongoDB offline database. They provide a free tier, so it is the best way to learn, and you can explore and use all the features without paying a single penny.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been using MongoDB Atlas for a decent amount of time and being very honest, and I have not found anything that can be disliked at this moment. I will still suggest that if sharding and backups features can also be free to use will be a great help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use MongoDB atlas with Node.js and Express.js for the server-side development of our projects. We integrate it with the mongoose package and connect it with our Node.js server using the cluster and maintain the cloud database via our Node.js script.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are willing to learn NoSql, just go ahead with MongoDB atlas, and you are never going back to SQL databases.

Great MongoDB Host
What do you like best about the product?
MongoDB atlas is the best host for MongDB database. It's easy to manage and create database, limit access, VPC to your cloud and profiling analysis to improve the performance
What do you dislike about the product?
MongoDB atlas do not provide a great tool to manage the database itself. They have the Compass, which is a tool to connect to the database and visualize the data. It's free but it's very limited and really hard to use. In order to the team develo, we need to pay extra license for Studio 3T which is about $200+ per license.
MongoDB atlas should provide at least a great tool to view and manipulate the data. Studio3T has plenty of great features, but I've been using it for 5+ years and mostly visualising and manipulating the data, which is quiet expensive just for that purpose.

Manage MongoDB in the cloud. It also enable to create sandbox databases which is good for development and uat environment. It's an easy way to create and manage databases.
Simple to Use, Cost-Effective, and Robust Managed Cloud Service for MongoDB
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up, very cost-effective, with excellent performance. It has a built-in backup with an option for point-in-time recovery. Another super important feature is connecting from our AWS service using a VPN. Overall, it is a very good, managed service, packed with features for novices and experts alike.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I could find is that to use the Atlas API you need to access the API from a fixed, pre-defined IP, which is not very useful for many cases. But they keep on improving the platform so it might change in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using MongoDB Atlas as one of our main production servers. The platform proved to be effective and fulfills our need for a hosted cloud-based, managed service.
easy db for developer
What do you like best about the product?
I most like MongoDB about its format.
It's easy to configure collections and documents.
It's easy to configure collections and documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes nesting data will take time to process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had a project with a mean stack. The database was MongoDB. I most likely about its data format. Just send the JSON data in the document. It will save.
It is easily connected with the mongoose library.

handy GUI for mongodb data
What do you like best about the product?
It's neat and clean. Very easy to use and install. It's a go-to app for anyone who wants to view mango db quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not anything so far. In general, it meets my expectations in all aspects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Viewing my app database, updating data for testing, and filtering and searching data.
Trip Management with mongodb
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create cluster and collections inside it. Good UI and user management of access to my cluster. Easy to connect and start work from nodejs
What do you dislike about the product?
Less number of region for serverless cluster and which also vary from AWS to Azure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing whole information of strip so that we can manage every resource of trip in single document and also to reference data for some data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please try it as ease of setup and start working is good.
Coordinating legacy pairs into our cloud database applications is made efficient with MongoDB Atlas
What do you like best about the product?
MongoDB Atlas is most suitable for a cloud-based database system in which the init config and its corresponding daemon processes are handled automatically. It gives us a powerful Logical Volume Manager (LVM), which converges our disk images from our on-premise environment to our cloud platforms. It also provides excellent hashing algorithms which create distinct string identifiers for our checksum procedures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dislike is none when it comes to usage of MongoDB Atlas because its network partition is excellent for our failover cases at our distributed systems. It provides latency and multi-zonal availability, which prevents asymmetric disruptions when the nodes communicate to each other in our application cluster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We migrate our legacy and on-premise data stores into cloud platforms as part of our business requirement, and MongoDB Atlas provisions legacy pair coordination which ensures seamless cloud migration. Its cluster management and operability are fantastic for our customer use cases. Even though it's a cloud-based database service, we never encountered any issues related to geospatial queries. Its dot notation capabilities give me easy access to our application elements with eventual consistency in our distributed systems. Further, it provides me Atlas Admin privilege, which helps me overview our access policies and authentication permissions related to our database application servers.
Best Cloud DB with great learning resources
What do you like best about the product?
I used MongoDB as a student for one of the college projects and my development experience with Mongo DB atlas is really great! Found a lot of learning resources on the internet also setting up new projects and starting working with them is really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
In Free-tier we can only use 1 project at a time, so for students, I think there should be at least 2-3 allowances for projects in the free tier. also if we want to do a migration of the DB then it's difficult or not possible at the time I am writing this review.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a cloud-based database so my team can work on the same DB remotely. MongoDB solves that problem also the performance of the MongoDB Atlas cluster is above that of any other cloud DB service provider.
Easy to use managed MongoDB
What do you like best about the product?
No administrative overhead; use the DB, and we do not have to worry about managing instances, networks, etc. Atlas also supplies a minimal web interface that allows performing some actions on the data itself. The dashboards are very useful, and we are also using the alerting system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am missing the possibility of MFA for users (but this is probably also a part of the MongoDB infrastructure). In the dashboards - I would like to have better ways of diving into each database (Some metrics are only available to the cluster as a whole)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is our single database, and it allows us a very fast development cycle. Also, we are a small company and do not have to have a DBA as a part of the small team. Mongo is easy to use and has very good documentation.
Hassle-free cloud-based Mongo
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing with Atlas is that you can have a cloud-based instance of MongoDB up and running in 2 minutes for free.
You can also choose where you want to place your servers from a list of cloud providers (Amazon and Google included).
You can also choose where you want to place your servers from a list of cloud providers (Amazon and Google included).
What do you dislike about the product?
Security configurations can be hard to understand.
Better resources to edit data stored in the database would also be helpful.
The Web interface is not among the best I´ve seen.

The Web interface is not among the best I´ve seen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I´ve used MongoDB Atlas to store documents with data that is accessible through my Web APIs. The main benefit I´ve noticed is the ability to store data kept by my microservices easily with little coding.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it to my students as the easiest way to have Mongo up and running. You should also try it.
