Prevent your from potential hacking threats with Duo

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Duo Security offers further requests to the client, so that all of the two steps for authentication can be done. Also, it gives us the opportunity to authenticate iPhones. I would say the system is not very complicated and, even though we had small difficulties at first, the program can be specified at the whole level. Besides, customer support is very helpful for mobile software implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It offers excellent and insightful processes and reports on common platforms, but this causes you to feel stuck in attempting to use them with certain non-listed apps. Also, we programmed all our clients to work remotely, and we find that we charge for even more control permits than what we use for a given period of time. However, although its encryption proxy was not the simplest to incorporate into the network, after downloading it and operating with it, everything worked out great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our backup systems, we use it for authentication. It helps to prevent our business from potential hacking threats and strengthens confidentiality. Duo Security has multiple options for 2FA including attach, mobile and SMS. Clearly, the two-factor authentication is much easier for remote entry. There is a detailed and well-defined list apps that work with Duo Security.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Duo Security is suitable for large companies that want to add an extra security layer to a technical device, as it works as an internal or external support system. Consider the work is always best done when it is accompanied by a real-time analysis before the procurement of Duo Security.

Great 2 step verification system

  • October 18, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy; kind of like Google, you have a number of ways to login quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does freeze periodically so it might take awhile for your notification to login a second time to come.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cybersecurity issues have been resolved, especially dealing with finances for a large group of people.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I’d say it’s worth talking a look at, especially considering cyber attacks and if you have a large organization.

Duo a great security tool

  • October 18, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how I can send a quick push to the app on my phone and hit approve and be signed in! Super easy and convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how often I need to re-sign in. I wish I could have it remember me for longer than 14 days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has created a much more secure organization.

Great solution for 2FA

  • October 13, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Unlike other 2-factor alternatives, Duo allows me to confirm logins with just a single button press. I don’t need to copy any codes back and forth.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I switched to a new device, Duo required me to confirm my switch with my old device (which didn’t work anymore). I had to go through IT to regain access. I hope they improve the migration process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company uses Duo to increase security for our login process.

Good security measures

  • October 12, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the push code option because it's much easier than having to type in the pass code. The notification pops up at the top of your phone screen and you simply tap "more options" and "approve". Super fast and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there was a way to approve the push code without having to sign into your phone or click the "more options" button. It's easier to just click things once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems with multifactor logging in! It helps bypass any flaws in the login process and protects user and organization safety.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the push code option! It's faster and easier than the pass code option.

Has a good purpose but annoying to use

  • October 11, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are three different ways to verify your number: a push notification, a code generator, or a call. It's a great program if you need multiple ways of authentication, as it's very simple and use to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't have your phone on you, it's impossible to log in to an account. Also, the maximum number of days you can stay logged into an account is for 7.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to ensure no one can access my account at the university because I need to verify it through my cell phone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The push-notification on the iPhone is the easiest way to get authenticated.

If you want your account to be secured, you should use Duo Security

  • October 11, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and allows me to secure my account from bad people. If you think you have very important information online, and you don't want others to hack your account, I would definitely recommend
What do you dislike about the product?
The side effect of using this app is that if you don't have access to your phone(say your battery has died), you cannot get access to your account. But definitely the software is not responsible for this side effect. You will be fine unless your phone has a terrible battery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
These days it is very important to secure one's information online. The hackers are everywhere. I had security issues before. Once I started using this software, i feel much securer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend if

Two-factors authentication to access your apps

  • October 10, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Duo Security is very quick when it's working. It is as easy to use and the resources used to search for a QR code are relatively low and makes it a lot less challenging for competitors. When you think you won't have access to your mobile, you could create 2FA codes with anticipation. It allows you to set administrative regulations based on user preferences, where you can select which tools and software should be used.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile application does not perform well. It would be nice if it could be improved. Also, it would be great to add more native apps. It would nice if users could lower the license usage count for the 90-day period provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Duo Security is used in our enterprise for protection using two-factors authentication and to provide access for an additional link with internal resources and connections to support services by any outside vendor. We use it in different systems via remote access, including VPN and SSO. It lets us reduce potential username and password undermining concerns and provides an extra security element.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Having a Cloud-based MFA is the most practical way of providing a wide range of cloud services, and being able to have access to it by using Duo Security is a real victory for a company. It is evident that further work on the viability of deployment must be carried out if you are going to be working with routers, security devices or even when software is not compatible.

MFA for the MSP

  • October 08, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Duo is very managed service provider (MSP) friendly!
Reselling this tool has gone very well, their multi-tenancy works well for our needs.
Having a go-to MFA tool that can be resold due to being able to manage it on our clients behalf is really fantastic with the way the big players are beginning to require this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a bit pricey - and now that Cisco owns them it makes me a bit nervous that that may only get worse..

Feature-wise though it has everything you could want out of an MFA tool with multiple levels to resell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jump on the bandwagon!
Everybody is beginning to require MFA - why not adopt a tool that is so easily managed?
The push feature in particular makes MFA a much smoother process and less of a pain to adopt for your clients/employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you research the requirements for Duo's various requirements for use.
In some cases you must build out your own "DAG" (Duo Access Gateway). This requires a a device that exists in your DMZ zone.
Don't get me wrong, many many apps can integrate with duo without one (most notably O365 login, so anything you SSO with under that would be covered by that integration). But if you want to use this with one of your clients random one-off programs that has SAML support, you will likely require some additional configuration/investment to get it working the way you want.

It can always be used via OTP as well though!
