What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of sending a push notification to my phone. The interface on my phone is quite simple, and the 2FA process is quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, I hit "approve" on the push notification on my phone, and it doesn't register on the desktop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is keeping my information more secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Works great!

So far, not much I don't like about it.

Lots of people work remotely so authenticating users to our internal systems is very important.

Enhanced security at an extremely small usability pain point.

What do you like best about the product?
End client runs on everything. Allows multiple client devices. Authentication response times nearly instantaneous, End client can print out it's own key for systems that don't push the request to end devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes my Android phone app needs to both authenticate AND confirm a login. Kind of annoying, not really an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
increased security through dual factor auth.

Great Two step authentication

  • December 27, 2016

What do you like best about the product?
It gives us that second layer of authentication we are looking for. Very easy and convenient for users set up, learn and adapt to. Very easy to manage users from an administrative perspective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the push notifications for users do not come through. We have found this is usually due to the WiFi connections they are on, normally hotels, would have a specific port blocked. But DUO does have another method of authentication for this situation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are adding extra security to our network by adding a second layer of authentication to our VPN and other online portals.

Achievable Two Factor

  • October 19, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy set up and support for two factor authentications via duo push. Has flexibility is end user does not have a smart device to still two factor authenticate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The use of charging 1 cent for non push two factoring. Just fold the penny charges into the overall price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Increased authentication security in general.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Review the penny charges for non push authentications and have them write it out of the contract.

Security perspective: good. Developer perspective: annoying

  • October 19, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How fast it pushes notifications to one's smart-phone. They really do try their best to make it as non-annoying as possible, given how annoying spending that extra time on dual authentication is.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's very frustrating how much aggregated time I waste unlocking my phone to confirm via Duo that I want to sign in somewhere. As a developer, it seems to get in the way more than anything else. From a security perspective, I'm glad that we have it. I wish dual authentication wasn't so difficult sometimes, but I'd prefer more secure over less secure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The use of Duo is solving the risk of if someone's laptop or account is compromised. It provides a good user interface, and is easy to set up. It's intuitive to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's excellent in its function, but it's frustrating as a concept. I'd highly recommend using Duo Security if you are moving towards Dual Authentication.

Duo Review

  • October 06, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use for our end users. While using it on an iPhone is really is a 3 factor authentication.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notification on the iPhone with the updated iOS is hard to use. It might just be a iOS issue but before it was easier to accept the notification without unlocking the screen and opening Duo
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to have 2 factor authentication in order to access our network. This allows us to meet those requirements

What do you like best about the product?
The push notifications are simple and reliable. I have not had any problems with it. The app on the phone works exactly as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This gives us an easy way to authenticate for VPN usage. It's a lot easier than typing in tokens or similar solutions.
