It is a bit complicated software to learn to use that requires extensive knowledge in the management of networks and systems, not everyone manages to make it work correctly from the beginning due to its long learning process and professional vocabulary that is used to know what to do. is working and managing to execute

To have information about the prices of the plans you have to contact the service and wait for a response from them I think it would be better to have the prices at a glance on the page so you do not have to wait for them to respond but the service in general is very good

The purchase process at the beginning cost me a little because I did not accept the credit card that was apparently an error of the cisco umbrella page because in later hours I tried again and left but it happened again when I change my plan, I do not know what error it will be but in the first purchase of each package, it does not let the transaction go through once it's time to be patient and try again

learning to know the page requires too much time and it is not so simple it has not so well known vocabulary, with time it is learned more and more but at the beginning it can take days to learn how is the correct functioning

OpenDNS provide good protection for our users against malicious DNS.

Support can be difficult to work with. They are not available readily via phone and/or working sessions. Additionally, we have seen some Umbrella client software conflicts with VPN client software.

Client side protection against malicious DNS.

What do you like best about the product?
Umbrella is a key part of our layered security. Umbrella does a great job of filtering DNS request by category or policy. It alerts on suspicious activity or policy violations. Additionally, I promote the OpenDNS Home version for my employees and to parents when I give security talks.

Would like to act more like a proxy where I could have different policies per user.

Umbrella protects systems from known DNS attacks via email or websites, and can detect botnet traffic alerting you to comprimise.
