What do you like best about the product?
Umbrella is a cloud security solution that offers several benefits to protect an organization from Internet threats:
Real-time malware and phishing protection
Blocking of malicious websites and inappropriate content
Protection on all devices, including those outside the organization's network.
Using Umbrella helps ensure robust Internet security and threat protection.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are several disadvantages to using umbrella:
It is very expensive and more if you depend on multiple licenses.
The lack of platform customization is notorious.
Its proactive real-time protection sometimes interferes with legitimate traffic as it occasionally blocks sites or applications of the organization.
Being a cloud-focused platform, all of its functionality depends on network availability.

Powerful, simple
What do you like best about the product?
Interface is very easy and intuitive to navigate
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally, the virtual appliance can be finicky and have had to re-deploy it multiple times because it lost connection to the cloud
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content filtering it's much faster the most firewall's built in content filtering. Pages load much quicker.
Cisco umbrella is very good proxy as it is easy to configure and add web and dns policy

Web gateway firewall provide protection from latest attack and it's integration with other product of Cisco like securex
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much, a little improvement required in TAC assistance

It's on cloud managed by Cisco team hence only little req as we need to configure policy only

The way the policies work and the ease of troubleshooting the access controls

Nothing at this point, the browser GUI response can be better

The Cisco umbrella adds a significant layer of defense against security threats at the DNS layer.
Cisco Umbrella Offers Excellent DNS/URL Filtering
What do you like best about the product?
The configuration of setting up policies is pretty straightforward. We have a blocklist that we can add OSINT URL's to that boost protection on top of what it already protects us from.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I can say about what I don't like. The product is relatively inexpensive. Once it's set up, you can set it -and forget it if you want and still receive substantial protection from malicious sites.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cisco Umbrella filters all websites our users go to, so even if they accidentally click on a bad link in an email, Umbrella will block it before they ever go to the site.

What do you like best about the product?
Cisco Umbrella is definitely an easy to implement and manage tool. Licensing is only a couple of clicks to manage. Deployment to new workstations for clients is a quick install.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike or wish Cisco Umbrella would do is have more reporting or more information on where to find reporting. Managing endpoints is easy, but getting useful information requires digging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cisco Umbrella continues to make endpoint management quick and painless. I understand reporting is getting more robust, but would like to see more information on that.
A powerful DNS proxy easy to install
What do you like best about the product?
Easy installation process. Powerful DNS filtering, possibility to yse Firewalal in the cloud. Auto-redirection of gray domains to the smart proxy. No need to use PCAp files anymore.
What do you dislike about the product?
User must not be machine administrator. Users can still surf using Ip adresses. Gray domains redirection is not as transparent as possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure web surf with native DNS filtering, Protect users' machines outside the company network. Protect remote users. Malware detection on DNS level

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud-based DNS security is the best thing anyone could have. We like that the interface is very intuitive and the L7 firewall can block many spurious and non-approved applications as well as peer-to-peer file sharing and torrenting from happening in the office or on any office computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
We actually liked the fact that Cisco has provided a lot of training materials and has live webinars every so often. The detailed documentation available on Cisco's website has helped us understand how to leverage the DNS security to the fullest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Internet security and monitoring of data is the issue that Cisco Umbrella is solving for us. Its tight integration with Meraki security appliance and L3 switches also helps us a lot.
