Easily Tracking Our Cloud Spending
What do you like best about the product?
It is super useful to be able to keep an eye on cloud spend as it can so easily get out of control as resources are added. In particular, the resizing in particular has been a great source of savings.
In the past, I have worked in consultancies that helped clients with their Azure configuration and there was never a case where money wasn't being wasted. It is common to find entire virtual machines costing hundreds of dollars that are no longer being used. Having Park My Cloud keep an eye out for this kind of issue means this will never happen at my current organisation.
We track the savings made directly with the Park My Cloud dashboard, and also those where we make a manual change based on the information supplied by Park My Cloud and it paid for itself in the first month. We continue to make gains each month as our cloud use evolves.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is tricky to set up the profile in Azure, as Azure requires you do to it on the command line, but Park My Cloud supply a script to use for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing our cloud spend and we have saved thousands of dollars of unnecessary cost.
Easy to use with tangible benefits
What do you like best about the product?
Schedules are easy to set and use to start realizing cost savings. The schedule is mostly drop down but could benefit from cleaning up the time zone list which is taken from a third party.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to not be getting charged for Azure databases that are not controllable yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have developers that have been leaving their VMs on 24 hours a day despite them only being used for some portion of their 8 hour day. By scheduling the resources we have already started realizing almost $2000 in monthly savings while still working on adoption.
ParkMyCloud Review
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and helpful in situations where you have on-demand AWS instances. Can save quite a bit of money in the long run.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very useful if you have reserved instances like we do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing yet but in the future we will apply PMC to on-demand instances to save money on evening and weekends or as needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have all reserved instances on Amazon AWS this might not be the solution for you.
A Solid Cloud Cost Management Partner
What do you like best about the product?
Very intelligent identification of instance usage, which is the most challenging part of scheduling instances. It's very difficult to determine this simply from CloudWatch, especially in an automated fashion.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are parts of the UI that are slow to render, especially when you're over a few thousand instances. However, the ParkMyCloud team has been very much willing to work with us to resolve any issues we've seen and are working to resolve that issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're enforcing the parking of instances that are 90% or more idle, and enforcing the rightsizing of instances that would result in 20% or more savings. Probably most importantly, it has raised awareness with my hundreds of clients around the benefits of both parking and rightsizing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We recommend providing ParkMyCloud user logins to all DevOps users of your environment, as well as their management. This also requires some degree of training to make sure they are successful using it.
ParkMyCloud has saved me 10+ hours a week in VM management time
What do you like best about the product?
ParkMyCloud makes it very easy to automate VM schedules and has allowed our company to delegate access to the developers to extend their VM up-time without needing to reach out to an IT staff member. Once our policies were set up, all new VMs automatically apply to a schedule and a team. This makes the management of the VMs cost less and doesn't require follow up for each VM created.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, we haven't experienced something major that we dislike. It is difficult for users to understand the idea of Overriding a schedule, but once it is understood, there are very few questions or issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of VM schedules was cumbersome and too complicated in Azure. Through the use of ParkMyCloud, we have saved thousands of dollars because PMC makes it very easy to visualize and report on whether a VM is tied to a schedule and if it is on or off.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a necessary product if you are managing 5+ Azure VMs
Great tool for real savings in the cloud
What do you like best about the product?
Great straight-forward tool that results to actual savings in the Cloud infrastructure. Policies are great tool to manage parking schedule for resources. The Slack integration is helpful. Pricing model is very good, and can be used by many different people. Good to know that a Savings tool won't break the bank. Love the fact that my personal test accounts can go free, so I don't mind recommending PMC to companies knowing almost everything about the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
No MSP Console to manage multiple customer with a single login.
Out of the box integration with tools like SignalFX and Pagerduty would be very helpful.
Slack bots to quickly override schedules would be helpful

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For many companies using cloud, savings are at the top of their agenda when they decided to move to the cloud. Most migrations are still lift-and-shift, having many EC2 instances. PMC has helped many environments that I manage realize a boost in savings. PMC also helps to improve the security posture of the company by keeping idle resources stopped when they're not in use, reducing the attack surface, especially during times when the infrastructure is most vulnerable, and taking action on possible breach would be difficult to impossible.
Excellent service, does just as advertised with many features to save on costs!
What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly UI that allows for quick searching and grouping of resources with sortability by price, region and teams! The SSO integration is seamless and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with Azure VMSS' are a little bit wonky at first and may fail. The scheduler seems to have no Crash loop Backoff logic to stop pinging when a VMSS fails to scale down. I wish it was easier to bootstrap Azure cloud integration without going through twenty steps, a terraform module would be ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving the inability of EKS and AKS node groups / node pools to be scaled to zero for very expensive machine types (GPUS). We've realized that a cronjob has led us to literally hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Read through the documentation and take the time to group resources together to save time and hassles.
Its good tool to handle the EC2 instance status
What do you like best about the product?
Automation process to start and stop the EC2 instances and providing the cost saving options
What do you dislike about the product?
Need more accurate cost saving options and other options like storage etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
stop and start the ece2 instances and chosing instance types for cost saving
Excellent Savings Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The set-it-and-forget-it model works well and is most convenient. We only needed to do a one-time setup in AWS and Azure and that was it. ParkMyCloud discovers new resources automatically and adds them to their monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there's not much to dislike on this platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are realizing significant savings by powering down VMs when not in use and on weekends. If a team member needs the VM during those times, all they have to do is power them on temporarily. I especially love the fact fact that even when the VM is powered on temporarily, it gets shut down automatically once the power-on period is reached.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend ParkMyCloud to anyone wishing to save on cloud operating costs, especially on AWS and Azure.
