Great Interface
What do you like best about the product?
Search options, Updated Interface, Modern Charts, easy to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Admin Tab is still old school. It can be improved, especially in terms of monitor.

Can be hard to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
It is really useful for peeling back layers of data to filter to one's specific needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to get used to and not incredibly user friendly at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to manipulate my company's data to ensure there is equity with staffing. We are then able to adjust anywhere we need to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take time to get to know the product and its various functions, like cubes. Once you become familiar it gets much easier to use and find the data you need.

El mundo cambiante de hoy en día necesita de soluciones ágiles que nos ayudan a anticiparnos para mejorar nuestra productividad empresarial.
Cognos es uno de los Bussines Intelligence más fáciles de usar por su intuitiva interfaz de usuario, fácil de navegar, y con la que podremos hacer cuadros de mando e infografías y creación de informes profesionales que podremos exportar en múltiples documentos, como hojas de cálculo Excel.
La toma de decisiones nunca fue tan fácil, basada en un análisis de modelos de datos extraídos de centenares de registros, proporcionando las soluciones necesarias para responder a las preguntas de negocios más difíciles, encontrando patrones, a la par que reduce los costos.
Otra de las grandes ventajas es la flexibilidad y escalabilidad de la aplicación para PPYMES.

Si está listo para invertir en la plataforma, esta sería una muy buena decisión. Hemos mejorado en la toma de decisiones,, en la agilidad del proceso de negocio y en las relaciones con clientes y proveedores.

Lo aconsejo totalmente, siempre que puedas permitirte la inversión, pues mejora notablemente la productivad, permite elaborar reportes, realizar analisis de los datos recolectados y en poco tiempo te ayudará en la toma de las mejores decisiones de negocio para tu empresa, a la par que incrementarás la calidad de las interacciones con cliente.

The product give users the ability to do deep dives into their data and gain insights that were previously very hard to find

When a software bug is found it is hard to get the proper support for the problem

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way IBM has unified its reporting tools with a dashboarding, reporting, and modeling interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Errors that are generated could be better-explained.

Using Cognos Analytics on-prem, we're using a governed central source of truth (single FM model off of an EDW for back-office data) to combine information from several areas in our Oracle data used in a wide array of reports.

current product visualizations 11.0.7 do not render well to pdf. Inconsistent colors.

Starting using Watson Analytics until I realized Cognos was a way more advanced product, with better capabilities. If you ve been using Watson and beeing frustrated, move to Cognos
