Easy to Use and Powerful

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Watson Assistant is provided free and still has impressive functionality. It has been easy to program, though some prior programming experience has proven helpful. The online help is easy to use and I have been able to build a responsive assistant for our small library's website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Understanding how to use variables within the assistant was challenging and final formatting is occasionally not consistent with what I think will happen when I use embedded HTML to format responses. Overall though I cannot complain and have ultimately figured out how to make it do what I want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to provide a friendlier and hopefully easier way for our patrons to get simple questions answered on our website. I find they do not search often but everyone is getting used to some type of interactive chat as it becomes more widespread. Usage is low but it's only been a few weeks and I'm confident it will grow. As more people use it, I hope to identify common questions that may need more elaboration on the site, plus it may point us towards opportunities we can address.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will take time to setup initially. I spent several hours per week over 406 weeks creating all of the initial content, and we are not particularly complicated. Don't expect to roll out in a few days, spend quality time to get it right.

What do you like best about the product?
Love the high percentage of coverage. Watson do understand more and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to have a better voice feature. It would be awesome to have a superfluid voice attached to our Assistant in the future.
Would be nice that the Watson assistant was able to twist our dialog answer to use different words that give new answers with the same sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a chatbot that mimics a human to be a good life companion/friend.

What do you like best about the product?
The try it block and also it's various feature which help me to move further with great experience.

Making link everytime for sharing with friends to show new work.

I made a chatbot with the help of IBM Watson Assistant. It help me a lot in making the chatbot by myself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's very easy-to-use u didn't require any prior knowledge to use it. It provides you everything that you want to use.

Easy and efficient chatbot implementation

What do you like best about the product?
1) Watson Assistant is easy to understand without any programming needed. I was able to build a company chatbot using Watson after only a bit of training. Once you grasp the basic concepts of intents, entities, and the dialog nodes, then the development process is very streamlined and efficient. I love how the dialog nodes were very easy to put together, in chronological order. Setting up the dialog was the easiest part, where intents and entity setup requires some thought. Although, I really liked the suggested synonyms and process for intents/entities too. 2) The training process is also great, where you can try the bot yourself and set the correct intents. 3) integration with the web app was also easy to implement. 4) Once users started using the bot, you could view their questions and sort them by intents/entities. This allowed for better insight into what people are asking for increased improvement of the bot functions.

Overall, I had a great experience with Watson Assistant, would recommend!
What do you dislike about the product?
I can only think of 1 downside which is that users must develop a good understanding of the different aspects like dialog skills having intents, entities, dialog with nodes, etc. It was a bit confusing at the beginning when there was a bombarding of information, at one point I wasn’t sure of the connection between my assistant and the respective skill I wanted it to have. This was easily remedied after I took one of Coursera’s courses on IBM Watson. There are probably many other videos online as an introduction, so this probably isn’t a huge problem. Perhaps a solution is a tour-style walk through (I’m not sure if it already exists- if so, I probably skipped it).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Watson Assistant to build 2 chatbots for my company’s 2 different web applications. So far, only one of them are live but they seem to be helpful. I am using it to answer different streaming related questions for streamers on the app. It has been useful to see the types of questions people are asking and to determine what their interests are. Through the bot, we have less questions about where streaming features can be accessed and how things work. Watson has also made Viewing and sorting the data streamlined.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want a simple and elegant chatbot implementation, Watson Assistant is for you. No programming needed, easy deployment, and streamlined analytics all in 1 place.

Watson Assistant: an incredible tool with excellent customer service

What do you like best about the product?
Watson is versatile and surprisingly user friendly. The team that helped us get Watson implemented went way above and beyond. They were extraordinarily responsive to questions and requests for assistance. Watson was easy to embed into our existing website and the team took extra care to make sure our needs were met and that we were up to speed. It helps to have a degree of comfort with websites, but no specialized knowledge is required to manage Watson.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve with the platform's terms. The interface can feel a bit daunting and I would like more readily available and user-friendly help references and tutorials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to respond to constituent questions at all hours and help them navigate complex information. The system is dynamic and constantly learning, so it can keep up with changes. We used it for our Elections website. Watson responded to questions about the election and we have the ability to update it as the information changes from election to election.

What do you like best about the product?
The model there is easy to interact with even for beginners. Watson Assistant reduces the burden on your agents and Customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The challenge comes when chatbot can't handle complex questions, the customers can a times be frustrated.

IBM Watson Assistant has helped me to enhances customers relationship by providing adequate answers to questions and by providing availability.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that IBM Watson Assistant has come with such a structured methodology to build a chatbot is what I admire the most. The whole functionality of a chatbot is divided into intents, extents and dialogs which are easy to understand and implement. And not just the functions it provides us, but also the examples (in-built libraries) we get, even for a beginner, it is too easy to make his / her own personalized chatbot. I would also like to appreciate the fact that the Beta version which has abundant features for a basic chatbot development is offered free for the IBM Cloud users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not recognize any potential issue coming up while making a chatbot, but I may suggest to include a feature where we can save responses to particular questions in a Document, eg Word, PDF or spreadsheet. Apart from this concern, I had a great experience while working on this platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have started building a chatbot from scratch for a company which interning for. We came up with the idea of implementing a chatbot for the company's website so as to give the people viewing the website, some more insight about the company. Also it may serve as a platform for any our customer to contact us. Any bug encountered by the user can be reported using the chatbot. Also this chatbot is being used as a sales operation for the products offered by the company. This project is still in development phase and has not been deployed on the company's website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would like you to work on this platform and identify the features that can be implemented to enhance the IBM Watson Assistant experience.

What do you like best about the product?
IBM Watson Assistant is highly customizable, it uses proper dialog tree management which makes its use easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see more about what incoming texts are having difficulty being mapped to an intent.

What do you like best about the product?
I loved the context feature, jump to other nodes, synonyms suggestion in intents, etc. I liked the built-in sys.person and sys.location intelligent features the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sys.person feature is so needed for me but it's currently not probably available in the Lite mode. It can somewhat detect the name of a person. It needs some improvements for understanding human names.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most engineering students remain under stress and they need person to talk but they don't get anyone. So, I've designed this chatbot assuming all the possible questions it may encounter. It can reply all the questions related to campus, teachers, students, education, job prospects, about me, about the chatbots's feature, etc.
