Veeam backup for enterprise recovery saves time and money
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam provides off site backup without having to maintain a library of tapes and management thereof.
What do you dislike about the product?
End user interface is not as intuitive as I wish it were so restores could be managed by network users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Disaster recovery options by automatically replicating backups to off site locations leaves more time to concentrate on business processes rather than having to constantly manage a D/R solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Veeam provides a more encompassing D/R solution than other options.
The best protection for our environment from virtual, physical and cloud servers

The finial piece of the puzzle, Veeam Endpoint closes the loop
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Endpoint Backup is the product you've been waiting for. VEEAM's awesome products and technology, finally available for non-virtual systems. For years Veeam has been the best backup product around unquestionable, but it lacked a big piece of the entire backup ecosystem by being solely focused on virtualization. With endpoint backup, you can backup anything any time any where to your existing veeam infrastructure or to a cloud provider directly without anything onsite. Endpoint backup bridges the gap between virtual and physical servers, desktop PCs, AIX and other strange non-virtual endpoints you may have. Like all VEEAM software, it just works. There's even a free version that gets you 75% of the paid features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support for Windows systems older than 2008 R2 is not present, but you shouldn't be using them anyway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to backup all systems anywhere no matter what they are is critical to any business. VEEAM is the best of the best in backup
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There isn't much of anything better, VEEAM does it all and it does it right.
Overly complicated
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam might be a good solution for an enterprise with a large IT department.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first impression was just "aweful complicated" and "where to start ?!". I think Veeam is not suited for small are medium sized enterprises.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I looked for a simple yet full-fledged backup solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Veeam seems the most complete solution, but if you have limited time to learn new software, choose something simpler.
A big problem is documentation. I didn't find any concise manual, the official manual has 900+ pages !

Try it out before committing to buying/subscribing.
Great on-prem solution

This allows for full image backup and DR virtualization and restore with an on-prem only solution
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model. It's too spendy for a single powerful server

Disaster Recovery and backups. Bare metal and file level.
Great Software for server backups!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the integration with VMware products. Its a really great product and is easy to use. We rarely experience failed backups. We are currently using Veeam Endpoint Backup to Backup around 300 virtual servers to a Dell EMC VNX 5600
What do you dislike about the product?
We archive some backups to tape for long term storage. Integrating the tape library with Veeam was somewhat difficult due to some issues caused by drivers in Server 2012 R2. Veeam a
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam serves the purpose of providing our company with server backups and disaster recovery. If any issue is encountered with a server that cannot be quickly fixed, we can use Veeam to restore the server to a previous point in time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't try to install it on Windows Server 2016 Core or any other version of Windows Server Core. You unfortunately must have the full graphical user interface of the server to install this software. Its unfortunate, as removing the graphical user interface tends to reduce the attack surface of the server. But, other than than, just read the documentation prior to installing and you'll do good!
Excellent Backup/DR software
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam is extremely easy to use. I've used several backup solutions throughout my career, and Veeam is by far the best. It's integration with VMware is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tape backup implementation. Getting the tape library drivers to work with Veeam was a bit of a pain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup of all servers and offsite replication
