What do you like best about the product?
I love all the templates that they have, it helps me think of new ways to collaborate as a team. I am most recently also using the presentation "slides" template and is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have many improvement feedbacks on Miro. I think it is really fantastic!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it mostly for mind mapping and collaboration purposes...when I need to gather insights and ideas in a non-structured way from my team, it is the best tool for the job

Miro is an exceptionally supportive tool for all aspects of idea creation & tracking

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's easy to use and import visual content that would otherwise be lost on my device(s)! It's wonderful to have an app that can be used on the go on my phone as well as on a desktop.
What do you dislike about the product?
I truly can't think of anything. Perhaps integrating and connecting to spreadsheets to support the visual aspect of this program?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm building a design company with the help of Miro that would otherwise be a massive wall covered in visuals. I'm realizing the benefits of being able to share this virtual studio space with colleagues on the other side of the world with real time updates!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take it for a test drive! It's fabulous to use both personally & professionally, especially for those very attuned to the visual channel of receiving & organizing information!

The fastest and most effective way to truly collaborate on complex problems.

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The relative simplicity of tools and easy learning curve makes working together on challenging conceptual problems so much easier. You can successfully mix process flows with user experience wireframes. This is not a prototyping tool. It's also not a production design tool. However, it saves us so much time in those tools becase we're able to get multiple people from multiple teams into a problem to both understand the challenges and to contribute to solving them.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is challenging to organize boards within your organization, given that boards are created by so many people with different share settings. I'm not sure what I would do differently but it does merit some exploration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve complex experience design problems across many different business units with both product and service functionality and requirements.

Better than a whiteboard

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
When I joined Miro I participated in a live webinar and it was great. The facilitator was energetic and of course, very knowledgeable about creative ways to engage with Miro. The endless whiteboards are awesome. Plus, if you don't know where to start, you can scroll through templates for inspiration or adapt one and make it your own. Overall a great platform, and great customer support to go with it. Without the Miro support team inviting me to a webinar, I wouldn't have known where to begin.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see many downsides to Miro. If you are familiar with UX, design thinking, work flow, etc. this will be a great tool. Many templates are designed for concepts/flows that are new to me, which has been a great way to learn new ways to approach design problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro in virtual group meetings to facilitate conversation around product development, user experience, and just plain brainstorming.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you create an account with Miro, join one of their webinar orientation sessions, it was a big help to me!

Miro helped us thrive in the transition to remote work

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The collaborative nature and ever-growing Miroverse! The ability to invite anyone and have them edit the board with you in real time is so wonderful. It really does feel like an in-person whiteboarding session, but better in many ways with all of the add-ons like icon finder, grids, and shapes. The Miroverse makes it so easy to quickly be able to start up a new chart, workshop board, brainstorming session, or generation platform for ideation. I love the expansive ice breakers, too!
What do you dislike about the product?
My number one issue with Miro by far is the inability to import custom fonts. As we continue to expand our use of Miro, it would be so helpful to be able to customize the look further to match our brand's aesthetic. We could use Miro for so many more things (like new business) if we could use our brand's font. The other issue I have is the lack of additional zoom options, particularly Z for zooming as Figma has. This is an industry standard now and I find myself at the beginning of workshops having to really explain how to maneuver the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been solving quite a few problems with Miro, the top three being internal brainstorms and onboarding to new projects, external workshops / brainstorming sessions, and resource planning. For our internal meetings, Miro has really helped elevate the concept of a "creative brief" as we can drop all information relating to a new project collaboratively alongside inspiration and relevant links to the project. It becomes a one-stop shop for all things related to a given project. For external meetings, our clients have been loving Miro. The icebreakers always put the team in a great mood, and then the sticky notes help our clients be able to contribute in real time and see their notes applied. Many of our clients are highly visual, so this has been much more successful than sharing a static deck. Lastly, we used to do quarterly resourcing on a white board in our office, so Miro has helped make that so much easier with remote work. It helps us look at all of our employees at a macro level before diving into a different program for weekly resourcing.

Remove any distance and accelerate interaction

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro reduces the distance between people! Miro sustains an experience very similar to the one you have in the office because it is the same as being in front of a whiteboard. It can be even better because you can have a genuine parallel interaction between participants: they all can write, add and remove contents from the board simultaneously, without the impediments they would have in the physical space. Finally, with Miro, you have the advantages of digital supports: you can easily store and copy-paste the material you produce during your working sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am a fan of Miro, and there is nothing special that I do not like. I believe they can improve the way Miro manages the permissions and visibility for the boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to have workshops with my team: they are working session with a collaborative style that accelerate the understanding of a problem. Also, I use it for documentation and knowledge sharing or to explore some ideas personally, with schematics and brainstorming.

Absolute favorite tool for creative collaboration

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy usability, awesome functionality, fast support
What do you dislike about the product?
Digital pen support could be improved, e.g. easier switch between pen colors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doing about 2-3 virtual data strategy workshops or trainings per week - and our clients are excited!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've tested many other providers for online collaboration but Miro is the best tool on the market.

Amazing collaborative tool with a small learning curve

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We love using Miro because it does a great job providing space for people to contribute in a shared area without requiring travel or neat handwriting. We use it for brainstorms and workshops, design reviews, and project planning and really couldn't have survived this past year without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take a little bit of orientation to help new clients get used to the Miro UI. A few of our Windows users really don't like navigating in large boards, though they do see the benefit to using the tool overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We lead workshops often and Miro is a great spot to have folks come in and start sharing their ideas and building off of others' notes. It's also effortless to rearrange and draw connections, which is a plus when compared to physical whiteboards. Combined with Zoom or Teams breakout rooms and tight agendas, Miro has become an invaluable part of how we collaborate with our clients. Additionally, the board is easy to share and read after the session, which makes drawing takeaways much simpler.
