Excellent collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Miro has an intuitive UI which new and guest users can pick up in a matter of minutes and this really helps us when running remote client workshops. There is a comprehensive and regularly updated suite of templates, third party integrations (like Slack and Jira), and tools to support remote collaboration and Agile ways of working. I prefer the desktop app over the browser and the user dashboard is an excellent way to organise our Miro boards across projects and teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Over time, boards can naturally grow very large (especially if using lots of images and attachments) and navigation becomes unwieldy if not organised. Performance can also slow down slightly at this point, given the amount of information to load in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro with all my project and products teams to improve our collaboration and for client facing workshops of any kind. There are so many types of remote activities you can run in Miro, including ideation, voting, retrospectives, backlog refinement, user story mapping, release planning, etc and also as a long term digital wallboard for our projects, products and continuous improvement activities. I would say the two most benifical aspects for me personally, as someone focussed on Delivery, are firstly the abilty to make work more visual and interactive and the ability to ideate and brainstorm with colleagues and clients using digital post-it notes and quickly convert that information into Jira issues directly from the Miro board.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There's plenty you can do on the free tier to get yourself accustomed to what's possible with Miro. I would encourage those thinking about adopting Miro to dive in and play around with some templates like a personal Kanban or try a retrospective template with colleagues to get used to the features and functionality.

Great for remote collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
miro is intuitive and easy to use. We love that it works with images, text, and seamlessly helps you collaborate. Direct links make gathering references easy. Both our clients and students find it an invaluable tool. Love the free education offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take up a fair amount of memory and you need high speed internet. We're ok, but some mind find that a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brainstorming remotely is easy. The templates help me get things going quickly so I don't need to overthink things. Collaborate with clients is easy and fun. We used to use design software but then we'd fuss about the way things looked which distracts from the content development and only one person could edit at a time, and the graphics do generally look great. This tool allows us to focus on the content first which is great. With the free trial, it's easy to have clients join without major barriers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Super easy to use, great collaboration tool. Seamlessly links to other similar platforms like google docs. Love that it works with visuals, words and links.
Best Collaborative Tool We Use!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that my team can work in real-time together. It's intuitive and fun to use when brainstorming.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love if we could play music while we work through MIRO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are scoping huge projects. We use MIRO to plan out all of the content on our app. It's been really helpful to visualize the work and dependencies that exist in our planning.
The BEST tool for engaging, transformational, effective online teamwork
What do you like best about the product?
Miro has made it so easy to move my organization's trainings and workshops online. The user-friendly functionality, interactive tools, and "infinite possibilities" whiteboard allow us to collaborate just like we would in a room together.
What do you dislike about the product?
One improvement I would like to see is the ability to separate and organize my various boards more thoroughly. I have dozens and dozens of Miro boards and while these can be organized into projects, I haven't seen a way to more clearly put them into different "workspaces" for faster navigation to what I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the problems of making Zoom trainings interactive and engaging. In a time when many have said they are tired of Zoom/online meetings, we receive consistent feedback that our meetings are "the best....better than any other online meeting/workshop I've ever been to." There are also wonderful integrations with to-do lists, calendars, google search, and other tools to make syncing between tasks and objectives seamless.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is best in community! When taking a look at Miro, give it a spin by working on things with others/in a group. This way you can explore some of the best tools, like brainstorming, collaboration, timers, voting, etc.
Useful, especially for those who like to process things visually.
What do you like best about the product?
I map out processes, and also do some mind-mapping.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of features are geared toward software development, which I don't do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to map out processes for multiple projects helps me stay organized, while not confining me to a task management software.
Miro — office not required
What do you like best about the product?
Our go-to software for almost everything digital. Miro has been truly one of the most important tools in our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional downtime, especially during live workshops
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is literally replacing our physical office while erasing international borders. We use Miro for workshops, notes, ideation, mind mapping, prototyping, and even project management.
Very Powerful Visualization Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The Flexibility of the Miro Interface allows you to create a variety of shapes, text and connections between ideas using arrows or just be freely moving objects around the stage, which can be as large as you want. You can even insert buttons that will take viewers to specific areas of the stage that you have pre-defined. Nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like to use iframe embed codes and while Miro allows these, it sometimes will not show you the content inside the frame until you click on it. You will see a grey frame and the contents of the iframe appears as a pop-up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used it to create visuals to help students better understand complex ideas. It's great for online teaching.
Great Tool for UX Team!
What do you like best about the product?
Wireframe library is an excellent possibility for online Workshops. We are mainly using Miro for Ideation and sketching an Idea.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I can’t find the boards, which other companies share with us. As well I believe Uploading can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So, since we are all working from home, we realized how important it is to be connected and collaborate at the same time to get something done. Miro is not only good for workshops but also for organizing Teams and keep everything in one area. Very often, I had to go through all my files to find one I was look for to share with my team, now with Miro we just uploaded everything there.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Introduce Miro to everyone, with who you are working every closely. And share insides, updates, ideas and even your current status with them you will see how beneficial it is to be transparent.
Miro is one of the best collaborative tool I tested in order to handle design project remotely
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, voting functionality
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the interface easy to use as I am a designer and I am used to these kinds of tools, but when working with customers it seems difficult for them to understand the main functionalities.
The onboarding is not clear for them.
Also, the sign-up process may be time-consuming when many participants need to be identified and change their name from "Guests" during a workshop
The onboarding is not clear for them.
Also, the sign-up process may be time-consuming when many participants need to be identified and change their name from "Guests" during a workshop
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allowed my agency to manage all of our projects remotely, organize our internal work and our workshops with customers. It also allowed us to build our own personal toolkit that we use as personalized templates available for all the teams.
Powerful tool for a convenient online collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Miro has a lot of useful features like bord templates, voting options, user story mapping, kanban, tables, and many more. Yet it is still easy to use and very intuitive. We use Miro for conducting different types of meetings, e.g. team's retro, planning, mapping flows, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of ways for showing new features (modals, notification bar, etc.) that sometimes distract from regular work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps us keep the information in one place. It's a place for brainstorming, planning the work, and streamline thoughts. Thanks to its flexibility, it's usually our first pick when we're starting any project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to discuss online anything that requires some visual presentation - consider Miro.
