Useful collaborative tool

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to take a practice that was once done in person and share digitally while working remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often I encounter lag and the platofrom feels clunky. However, this is often due to the video chat program that is running. Zoom works better with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mapping workplace systems and processes. Helps communicate timelines.

A seamless tool for real-time collaboration

  • May 04, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
Aside from the basic functionality of the ever-expanding canvas, I'm most enticed that I can bring people together (physically), by the fusion of audio, video, chat, and physically bringing everyone to me when I'm the presenter/facilitator. AND we can do this all while staying in one tool. Miro eliminates the often-used and error-prone "screenshare on top of a phone/video chat" by providing one place for all the collaboration, and the flexibility of the options for board "artwork" is near limitless.
What do you dislike about the product?
The major disadvantage is that it becomes difficult to manage teams and guests on the lower-tier accounts. I also want to be able to switch between business and personal boards (you know a tool is good when you bring it into personal life!) but it's cumbersome to log out/in to switch. So the limited access to structuring my organization of boards is a slight turn off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combining multiple ways of presenting information (and adjusting it real-time) in combination with a group of people.
We use Miro for sharing individual ideas to receive feedback and for collective working sessions to generate a common strategy/understanding.
The major benefit is that Miro allows us to focus on the content of the work rather than getting hung up in the meta of how we work (which tool to use, technical issues, finding the link to someone's document, etc.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend a few minutes to "play" around with all the features before diving in, and consider participating in one of their live (or recorded) demonstrations to understand the breadth of possibilities.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that i can put all my stuff in one place to get a overview and organize things it is really helpful for me and for my company too, of course, i really love how i can manage my stuff and also get all my things done, my collegue recommended it to me and since that day that he introduced me to mire i fell in love with it
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that what i dislike is that sometimes it is difficult to find things because i am not a really good person to deal with internet and things of technology, although Miro is very instinctive, you know? I really think that Miro should grow even more since it is a very good plataform to put things together and make a company grow and get the strategy done i one place. It is a really nice experience for me. I study at Universidade Federal do Ceara and it is a public college, we dont have a lot of stuff, so Miro is ehat helps me
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization at college and work. I get put all of my stuff in one plane, like my notes, my overview of my projects, my new ideas that i want to organize and things like this
Recommendations to others considering the product:
uSE IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN TO ORGANIZE

Miro has changed the way I work in group and have brainstorming

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The possibility of having a collaborative board with my colleagues and a lot of tools that help us decide, share our ideas and also synthesize our thoughts. I like that it helps me when doing my mind maps when having classes and improving my professional capacitation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a very intuitive plataform, even though as I enjoy using it, I have difficulty creating my cards if I want to share with my colleagues, so I wish there were more tutorials on using it, and also I wish it has a Portuguese version for being more acessible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of brainstorming about our problems, do some mental maps to get on the situation and solving it. Also, there's room for everyone to collaborate and to show it with a nice view. We are solving the problem with feedback to the team and the lack of innovation in our products.

What do you like best about the product?
Globally available, ease of use and support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Locking and unlocking boards is always a bit frustrating...but a necessary function. They have tried to make it easier and it's really a function of how you design the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training global teams on how to do Design Thinking. And running love consulting projects across timezones and geographies.

Fabulous limitless tool for creative co-working and workshops

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Basically - it lets you do online things you only thought possible offline. The freedom to create the canvas with any type of content and freedom to structure as I find fit. Continuous improvement in how to interact and smart editing of multiple objects. The positive feedback from participants and users we invite into the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit complicated pricing system, anonymity for guests when working with clients, the repeted experience of moving things that shouldn't move. The connection lines that live its own life and create a complete mess of everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to organise interactive online workshops where everyone can be creative and work at the same time. When the corona-pandemic come, we had the problem of not being able to meet and work together physcially. With Miro we could move everything online.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learning to use Miro is a process. Use it step by step, try new features and include others to work with you. Start with the free version and upgrade as needed. We managed with free version for a year, at least.

Miro is quickly replacing every diagramming app I use

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A few things about why I'm hooked on miro:
* UX is great - the navigation and controls are very intuitively designed
* Contextual menus are all excellent
* Infinite scrolling is very helpful, as is the capability to frame groups of elements
* Speed and performance of the canvas
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish the following features existed
- Ability to share "life frames" between miro boards, similar to embedding Youtube. This would make it possible to have portions of a drawing in a common board, and see that in any other board
- More diagram widgets - something a bit closer to LucidChart would be great
- Hierarchical lanes in Swimlane diagrams. This would be possible to do, and should be similar to Custellence
- Wish there was a faster way to extract images and put them into Google Docs - even as an embedded image in a document (similar to Google Drawings in a Google Doc)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Colloborative diagramming
- Diagrams added into Google Docs and other documentation tools
- Very complex layered drawings with very large canvases. This is possible with other tools in theory, but the speed of Miro is impressive

The best visual solution on the market

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
it is very easy to use and it syncs well. I've seen it evolve along time and would be really helpful to use my spotify playlist instead of the music.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upload Mural boards would be great as it would be beneficial when working with different companies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a visual person so it helps me show work and interact with my colleagues and clients
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want a whiteboarding tool that can help you excel, especially with people in different locations, this is the tool to use.

Miro, the tool to establish a physical collaborative world in the virtual world

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The real-time aspect and infinite canvas for me are the most powerful features of Miro. Having real-time access to an endless whiteboard does the most to recreate the real world. I believe the most crucial aspect of any field of work is shared understanding. Something that Miro do a great job of, specifically removing the barrier to entry regarding authorisation, giving editting access and the tools to make thoughts visual. This is both a win for the UX and the technical performance of the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no general criticisms of Miro but whilst I likely have a lot of ideas for Miro my only feature criticism is the ability to log in to two accounts at the same time and switch between them. This is something that Figma have recently added and I think it's a really foundational feature that will finish the foundational work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There's not an aspect of life I can't imagine Miro helping with. In my eyes, it's essentially as critical as pen and paper – it takes invisible personal thoughts and makes them visible and tangible but not only that, it does it in a single source of truth fashion.

I personally use it to develop digital products. Typically through the design process of discovery phases all the way through to delivery phases. In the discovery phase I use it to store questions, assumptions and regulation and invite colleagues and stakeholders to collaborate and discuss then I use it to validate. Then in delivery I use it to track tasks, workflows and measure up against actual activity (are we where we want to be in terms of project progress etc.)

I also use Miro to present my ideas in the Slideshow setting and have done both a work presentation and slide show as well as a virtual quiz for my friends.

My biggest use of Miro is storing ideas, thoughts, notes. Similar to how commonplace books were used in the 17th Century. I create a repository of information and understanding on a given subject matter or project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My biggest bit of advice would just be to spend some time with it and getting use to the tools. A lot of people struggle with 'learned helplessness' when using a new tool. They convince themself that they are 'not a creative type' and instantly close their mind off to using the tool but it is obviously as essential a skill as sticking a post-it note on a wall - because that's exactly what it is.

I think the product could go some way in solving this problem by maybe having an activity type game (rather than a virtual tour) to get that person used to using the product.
