Best research tool for UX

  • October 07, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is collaborative and has a lot of useful templates. Very smooth and good user experience. Our team at Deloitte use Miro when we have to brainstorm on problem statements and a zoom call with Miro just works the best while exchanging ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe some tech error, sometimes the boards get locked automatically. A recommendation I would like to give is adding a feature to conduct user research. Once we wanted to share a board among 50 candidates for 50 different responses but could not share it as it needs 50 separate accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly brainstorming, ideation, keeping track of research, planning research etc. We generally start with the questions regarding the problem and try to fill up the research with various templates.

The benefits are very visible, first of all, the walls look clean now as we don’t have to use post-it notes anymore. And when we have to present our research to the clients it becomes very easy. Another benefit is that we add the clients to the boards sometimes and they collaborate with us. Which is a great experience for clients also.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A very useful tool if you are in the field of UX design, I would say a must-have tool.

Benefits of Miro

  • October 07, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A great alternative to a physical whiteboard, especially for remote working. A high engagement level during workshops. Produces a living document that can be updated anytime.
What do you dislike about the product?
A slightly big learning curve to all the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration and workshops facilitation. We also used it for context setting by laying out screenshots of the process to highlight problem areas.

Intuitive platform

  • October 07, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is very intuitive to use, it is the first tool that I have used where I can literally map my thoughts the way they come to me and organize them in a way that can be easily communicated to others. I also like the visuals of the templates, there are pleasing to look at.
Miro is a beautiful collaboration tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The print to pdf function doesn't work very well. For some reasons, the fonts are out of place.
Some of the tools (template, pen, etc.) of the same family don't allow the same type of formatting, it feels a bit restricted, but it could have been the developers' choice to keep the platform lean.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think I am solving multiple types of problems. The first one is to communicate what I see to others. Hinging on visualization has been a big improvement toward it. Then, it's also about engaging people in the conversation and having them contributing to the vision.

One of the best tools for organizing and communicating thoughts.

  • October 07, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. The infinite page design helps me think in a limitless manner. It is an emotional impact but personally helps me tremendously.
2. Ease of organizing the elements to make the work way faster than any other tool (simply by creating an arrow one can create a new element with just an enter).
3. Prebuilt templates are a great way to get inspired and to get started quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. A few ideas for imporvmeent are:
1. The mind map featureset can be significantly improved.
2. Better way to tag different sections of the baord so that it is easier to find one's way back in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Brainstorming
2. Organizing thoughts
3. Shared whiteboard during discussions

The best co-design shared whiteboard experience

  • October 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro gives you so many options to set up personalized co-design experience to throw and brainstorm all things products, with intuitive touchpoints for faster collaboration, around the shared goals. I have used it to draw product roadmaps, workshops, and I love how some of the world's leading design conferences use it for workshop facilitation on a wide canvas, using a variety of elements, design components and user-control triggers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their pricing tiers are a bit complex to understand but their support is friendly and proactive to help you out when required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I host product workshops, product scope, and brainstorming sessions and my team absolutely love to be there. While working from our homes, Miro acts as our pantry corner also. It keeps us on the same page, timely.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you ever want to discuss and share your design ideas or product or tech ideas with anyone, visually, Miro is the go-to place. It is rich, easy, and gives you many options to set up advanced workflow as well.

Excellent tool

  • October 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a great tool for collaborative work, we use it to keep track of project development of several teams, to run the upstream and downstream of projects, run team building dynamics and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I use the middle mouse button to drag around the board, but it also pastes anything on my clipboard, leaving unwanted stuff pasted around the board... Maybe there's a way to disable this and I haven't found it yet, but for new users it would be nice if there was some kind of indication that you've pasted something...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping us solve the project management problems, because it's less bureaucratic and more dynamic than other tools while still offering useful features.

Miro is an easy to use shared "space" to do collaborative work

  • October 02, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The unlimited canvas allows us to work on our own "islands" and dip into one another's spaces to work collaboratively at any time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Permissions model is a little weird. Other people can create boards in my account, forcing my boards to become View Only. I can create a new board and force one of theirs to be View Only, but this shouldn't be necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with remote colleagues (east coast, west coast) both before and during Covid.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Download the desktop version. It is a really clean and simpler experience than running in a web browser.

Fast-paced tool

  • September 30, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most exciting part about working with Miro is its amazing flexibility and adaptability to every task, from architectural diagrams to UX storyboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
After all these years, I still don't understand how board access rights work. Who will see the board I have created? Why do I see some of the other boards and some I can't? And - finding some board I created a year ago, is possible only with the link at hand, it just sinks somewhere in an endless page of boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- The ability to keep all project materials on one borderless page
- A huge number of templates for any task
- An priceless tool for online workshops
