Works like my brain does

  • April 28, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It worlks like my brain. I can put everything where I would naturally think it should be so I never wonder where anything is. Construction is simple. Collaboration features are nice if a little clunky working at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Poorly optimized for working at 1% zoom, which I think is the best place to start large board. Phones can't handle big boards at all. Exports don't have enough resolution even at Best Qulity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notes/mind map for my life. Team coorination. Building knowledge repositories for the educational branch of our company. Miro helps me keep track of everything the way my mind does so I can easily find everything

What do you like best about the product?
The great usability to add, arrange e edit artifacts that were built in meetings and workshops. Another good thing is the possibility to create freely a big variety of objects on the big board. Maybe, the best is the simplicity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of integration with Figma and the high cost for a big team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a strategic designer and I have been using Miro as an important tool to support explanations e decision-making in several projects. Important to say that Miro brings a perfect way to become abstract concepts in something that can be visualized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have not found the option to lock a board with a password. I really recommend the password option or access to be used in confidential boards.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is easy to use and helps me to create professional-looking process diagrams that we use with our clients. It also is great in helping me to collaborate with my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
After 30min of inactivity, Miro logs me out, and I need to enter in my login info again to reconnect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Miro to quickly visualize processes by creating workflow diagrams that we share with our customers. We have used several other programs for this, but Miro is simple and easy to use and creates clean, branded and professional looking diagrams.

My go to tool for virtual collaboration

  • April 28, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the real-time collaboration. It allows me to be on the same page as my team members at all times. It has massively boosted our productivity and we will continue using it even when we go back to in person meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had a couple of 20 person workshops and the learning curve to get started consumed a lot of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brainstorming workshops, design thinking workshops, networking events. Without Miro, these virtual events would not be possible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a chance and keep using it. After using Miro, it was hard to use PowerPoint.

What do you like best about the product?
The possibility of instant interaction with my team, increasing our productivity. In addition, the platform is quite complete and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitations resulting from the plans. But that is understandable. The application itself is excellent and flawless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Several! From diagnostics with customers to solving problems with my squad. In our company Miro has become essential! We use it for collaborative construction with customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The platform offers training on the platform through Miro Academy. Great for beginners!

Favorite tool in my collaboration toolbox

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has enabled simultaneous interactions of all participants in training workshops with clients. That is priceless for their engagement and for me to evaluate what concepts they can apply fully.

Miro helps our internal team plan projects and streamline processes. I love being able to upload parts of spreadsheets to become editable sticky notes!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I create connecting lines accidently, but it is easy to get rid of them with a click.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted:
• To keep all notes digital and in one place for the entire team
• Editable sticky notes
• To translate paper sticky notes into editable ones in a flash
• Go from spreadsheet columns/rows into editable sticky notes (no kidding)
• Synchronous or asynchronous collaboration with your team
• Breakout areas for small group or independent work
• To be able to share reference documents right on the board

I wish there were some extra free boards
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing thought and idea visually, and be able to host digital workshops

Perfect for my clients

What do you like best about the product?
I faciliate team development workshops and strategic planning sessions with my clients. I chose Miro over the other similar products like Mural and Stormboard for 2 reasons 1) Flexibility - Miro infinate board creates a fantastic open whitespace for easy access. However, the template libarary gives great examples of possible uses and of course quick start up for some exercises. The ability to create and save your own templates makes setting up repeat activities. Drag and drop of slides from your existing PowerPoint presentations makes easy work of upgrading existing files. The ability to simplify the menu for my workshop participants keeps them from getting confused by too many options.

2. Pricing - Miro's flexibility extends to something very important for the independent consultant. I can have my participants attend as guests and I don't get killed with small fees that add up to big recurring charges. Mural had possibilities for consultants if requested but I never received a response to my requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer Support. Miro is relatively straight forward and has very good helps. ..but when you need a quick answer on a tech question that's not in the helps it can take days to get an answer. The pandemic swamped services like these but of the four I tested there were differences with Stormboard having the best customer support for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past few months I have delivered numerous multi session High Performance Team Training workshops; Employee focus groups; Problem solving and planning sessions. Using Miro allows for great engagement during group activities but also allows for a 24/7 workspace for participants and team members to "drop in" and review or read notes. I can leave notes with instructions and links easily created to take individuals by the hand and guide them through reviews of topics previously discussed and give them specific ations to complete to prepare for upcoming sessions.

The greatest benefit has been delivering remote group work activities that in many situations enhance or improve on the previous "in person" experience. Recenly, In my first "in person" physical presence activity we still used Miro instead of the post its and wall charts used before. I see this new hybrid of virtual and physical being a great leap for workshop engagement going forward
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jump in - study the available templates to get ideas of how to make use of Miro. If you have a graphic artist available you can do some pretty fantastic and professional looking results - however you don't need this to look good with Miro.

I love Miro

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use and online collaboration. It is a tool that allows you to carry out dynamics with many participants in a very simple and organized way.

I also like its versatility, you can design a journey as well as a BMPN.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the accounts a bit confusing. Now that I have assimilated how it goes I see it as simple, but it was difficult at the beginning when the boards were shared with other people to know where they were located.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The realization of remote dynamics for classes has been very useful for me.
Also, as in my organization, we do not use Figma, having a place to map processes and flows helps us as a team to collaborate.
